Concert at Denton Wayside Church Promised Land Quartet will be in concert at Denton Wayside Church, 26993 Shore Hwy., Denton, Md., at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, July 15, with a luncheon to follow. A love offering will be taken. Come join us for a wonderful time of worship through song and fellowship.

Hymn sign at Woodland UMC Jerry and Jeannie Jones will lead an old-fashioned hymn sing at Woodland United Methodist Church on Sunday, July 15 at 3 p.m. to celebrate the church's 175th birthday. Ice cream and cake will follow the service. Bring a friend and come out to worship with us. A love offering will be taken.

Yard, Bake Sale A "Variety" Yard Sale and Bake Sale will be held on Saturday, July 21, at Wheatley Methodist Church Hall, Rt. 313 and Wheatley Church Road near Galestown, Md. Doors open at 7:30 a.m. Coffee, soda, bottled water and homemade baked goods will be available. The event will be held indoors, rain or shine.

VBS at Gethsemane U.M. Church Gethsemane United Methodist Church will be offering Shipwrecked Vacation Bible School on Aug. 6Ð9, 6Ð8 p.m. for kids who will by 4 by Aug. 31, and not in diapers, through kids who will be entering 5th grade in the fall. Kids will have fun as they explore the Bible, sing songs, play games, and do crafts while learning that Jesus will carry them through the storms of life. Gethsemane is located at 2701 Woodland Ferry Rd., on Rt. 20, four miles west of Seaford. While not mandatory, early registration is encouraged. VBS at Laurel Wesleyan Laurel Wesleyan Church "Incredible Faith FAM JAM" Family Style VBS for all ages will be held Aug. 8-10, 5:30-8:30 p.m. Includes dinner, crafts, worship, games and the Word of God. VBS at Christ Lutheran Christ Lutheran Church, 315 N. Shipley St., will hold Vacation Bible School - Splash Canyon - on July 30-Aug. 30 for kids ages 3 and up. Revival to take place in Blades There will be a Revival in the Town Blades Public Park on July 21 from 1-6 p.m. Bring lawn chairs. Refreshments will be served. Call 629-6562 with questions.

Summer services resume The Board of Directors of the Old Christ Church League announces the resumption of regular summer services at Old Christ Church, Laurel. Services are held on the first Sunday of each month at 10 a.m., June through September: Aug. 5 and Sept. 2. Officiant is the Rev. Howard Backus. The order of worship is taken from a 19th century prayer book in use around the time the church was built. Step back in time when you enter Old Christ Church; this wooden church is not electrified and is as it was in 1771. Through the open windows, enjoy the tranquility of the area - the trees, church yard and Chipman's Pond. A voluntary offering will be taken up for the preservation and restoration of Old Christ Church. All are welcome. For more information, call 536-1384.

Youth Service St. Matthews First Baptist Church of 32129 Wolfe Street, Laurel is having Youth Service, Sunday, July 29 at 11 a.m. at morning worship. Sis. Joy Baker will be the messenger.

VBS at St. Paul's UMC St. Paul's UMC at 32827 Old Stage Rd. in Laurel will have Vacation Bible School July 30 through Aug. 3 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. This year's theme is Shipwrecked, rescued by Jesus. Widowed Persons Service meeting The Seaford Chapter of the Widowed Persons Service will have its next meeting at noon on Tuesday, July 17 at the Stargate Diner in Seaford. Widowed persons of all ages are invited to attend.
