Summer services resume

The Board of Directors of the Old Christ Church League announces the resumption of regular summer services at Old Christ Church, Laurel. Services are held on the first Sunday of each month at 10 a.m., June through September: June 3, July 1, Aug. 5 and Sept. 2. Officiant is the Rev. Howard Backus. The order of worship is taken from a 19th century prayer book in use around the time the church was built. Step back in time when you enter Old Christ Church; this wooden church is not electrified and is as it was in 1771. Through the open windows, enjoy the tranquility of the area - the trees, church yard and Chipman's Pond.
A voluntary offering will be taken up for the preservation and restoration of Old Christ Church. All are welcome.
