Woodland UMC Homecoming service The Woodland United Methodist Church will hold its Homecoming service on Sunday, Nov. 12 at 2:30 p.m. Dr. Vicky Gordy-Stith will provide the message and special music. Dinner will follow the worship service. Guests are welcome.

Surviving the Holidays Surviving the Holidays will be held at St. Johns United Methodist Church, 300 N. Pine Street in Seaford on Nov. 19 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the Wesley Lounge. Holidays are difficult after the loss of a love one and this two hour seminar will give tips on how to get through the holidays using video and group discussion. Movie night Abundant Life Christian Church, located at 28714 Seaford Road in Laurel, is having a free movie night on Saturday, Nov. 11, at 7 p.m. The movie being shown isThe Shack. Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy a movie and popcorn with the church.

Homecoming and anniversary First Baptist Church of Laurel, located at 32631 Bi-State Blvd., will be celebrating 44 years of preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The service will be on Sunday, Nov. 19 at 10 a.m. There will be special preaching, singing from church members, and guest singers from the area, with a meal to follow. Revival at Centenary UMC Centenary UMC, located at Poplar and Market Streets in Laurel, will be holding a revival hosted by Pastor Dean Perdue. The schedule is as follows: Nov. 9 - Pastor Tom Slaughter and Kings Ambassadors, 7 p.m. Nov 10 - Pastor Jimmy Passwaters and Bay City Ministries, 7 p.m. Nov. 11- Pastor Bob Douglas and Zionaires, 7 p.m. Nov. 12 - Pastor Dean Perdue and Reunion, 3 p.m., followed by a covered dish dinner for those attending the revival.
