Summer services at Old Christ Church

The board of directors and the membership of Old Christ Church League announce the resumption of regular summer services at Old Christ Church, Laurel. Services are held on the first Sunday of the month, June 4 through Sept. 3: June 4, July 2, Aug. 5, and Sept. 3.
The order of worship is taken from an 18th century prayer book in use around the time Old Christ Church was built in 1771-1772. Step back in time when you cross the threshold into the church; it is not electrified, and appears as it did in 1771. Through the open windows, you will see the trees, the church yard and Chipman Pond in a very tranquil setting.
A voluntary offering will be taken for the preservation and restoration of Old Christ Church. For more information, or directions, call 536-1384.
