Community Prayer Breakfast The Kiwanis Club of Delmar is sponsoring its annual Prayer Breakfast on Saturday, May 6, at Camelot Hall at St. Stephens United Methodist Church. Breakfast begins at 9 a.m. The Rev. Dough McCallister, Delmar Christian Center, will present the featured message and Dave Ingraham, First Baptist Church, is the featured soloist. Tickets will be available at the door for $5.

Inside Out womens gathering The C.R.E.W. (Christ Reaching Every Woman) and Laurel Wesleyan Church invite ladies ages 13 and up to a womens gathering, Inside Out, on Saturday, May 6, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will focus on seeing ourselves through the eyes of God and not how we or others see ourselves. Spring Hymn Sing Galestown United Methodist Church proudly presents its Spring Hymn Sing, at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 30, featuring In the Presence of Jehovah Cantata with conductor Gloria Dill by Christ United Methodist Church, Federalsburg, Md.Dinner will follow at the Eldorado Fire Hall.

Providence UM Church to hold pancake supper There will be a pancake supper on Friday, April 21 from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at Providence UM Church in Georgetown at 24969 Shortly Road, approximately two miles west of the Route 113 Delaware State Police barracks. Day of Prayer Service The 2017 National Day of Prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 4, at New Birth Christian Center, Addix Avenue, Greenwood.This years theme is For Your Great Names Sake! Hear UsForgive UsHeal Us (From Daniel 9:19). Host pastor and keynote speaker will be the Rev. Willie Pierce. Ten area churches and VFW Post 7478 will participate. A freewill offering will be taken for the National Day of Prayer Task Force and a Buddy Poppy Campaign will be conducted shortly before the service.

Honoring Our Elders Dinner The 8th Annual Honoring Our Elders Celebration Dinner will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 22 at St. Matthews Church Hall, Wolfe Street, Laurel. Ross Point Freedom Church to celebrate pastors anniversary May 21 Ross Point Freedom Church, In., located at 10016 Concord Road in Seaford, will celebrate the pastors anniversary on May 21 at 3:30 p.m. The guest speaker will be pastor Helena Bailey of Kingdom Life Family Ministries of Millsboro. Ross Point Freedom Church is located in the Church of God and Saints of Chris building and the pastor is Rev. Shirley M. Caldwell. Union Baptist Mass Choir to give concert May 7 in Seaford The Union Baptist Mass Choir of Easton will be in full concert on May 7 at 3:30 pm. at Ross Point Freedom Church at 10016 Concord Road in Seaford (located in the Church of God and Saints of Christ building).

Gethsemane UMC fellowship hall A bar-b-que chicken dinner featuring Emings bar-b-que chicken will be held on Saturday, April 29 from 4-6 .m. at Gethsemane UMC fellowship hall. Lunch will include 1/2 Emings chicken, applesauce, homemade coleslaw, baked beans, roll, desert, and beverage. Advance tickets only, $11. Sister to Sister Gathering II to be held at St. Johns UMC The Sister to Sister Gathering II will be held on Saturday, April 29 at St. Johns United Methodist Church at 300 N. Pine Street in Seaford. Check-in will be from 9:30-10:15 a.m. The program will take place from 10:30-11:30 a.m., and a catered luncheon will be served from noon-1:30 p.m. The speaker will be speaker Mrs. Susie Bond, a retreat leader for over 200 retreats for women, couples, and professional groups and Disciple Bible Study facilitator. The theme is Jesus said: I am the Bread of Life- John 6:35. The registration fee is $15, with registration ending April 14 or until 250 maximum seating is reached.
