Community Prayer Breakfast A free Community Prayer Breakfast will be held at 9 a.m. on Saturday, March 18, at Church of God and Saints of Christ Church Hall, 10016 Concord Rd., Seaford. Come out and together we will pray for our community. Speaker will be Pastor Helena Bailey of Kingdom Life Family Ministries, Millsboro. Bethel Worship Center Spring Concert The Bethel Worship Center Spring Concert will be held on Saturday, March 11. Admission is free. Dinner will be served at 4:30 p.m. for a small fee. Enjoy hot dog platters, hamburger platters, desserts and drinks. There will also be raffles, a baked goods auction, door prizes and more. Music will be provided by the BWC Band from 6 to 9 p.m. A love offering will be taken. Checks may be made payable to BWC Building Fund. The church is located at 26648 Sussex Hwy., Seaford.

Night to Honor Israel Crossroad Community Church in Georgetown will present a Night to Honor Israel on Sunday, March 5, at 7 p.m. Keynote speaker is Dumisani Washington a pastor, composer, author and music teacher in Northern California. Special guests are Rabbi Steven Saks of the Ada Kodesch Shel Emeth Congregation in Wilmington, and Rabbi Larry Kaplan of Temple Israel in Wilkes-Barre, Pa.

Crossroad Community Church is located at 20684 State Forest Rd., Georgetown, just off Rt. 404, west of Georgetown. Washingtons Israel journey began in the early 1990s in a quest to better understand the roots of his Christian faith. The trek became cultural, as he studied the Jewish Diaspora and became intrigued by Israels multi-ethnic identity; and the return of the Diaspora from Ethiopia, India/Burma, Kaifeng and the world. Washingtons first book, Zionism and the Black Church: Why Standing With Israel Will Be a Defining Issue for Christians of Color in the 21st Century, was released September 2014. Washingtons production company (June 25th Music) first album, The Hebrew Project, Vol. 1: From Beyond the Rivers, is a musical-cultural stand with the nation of Israel. Washington is a graduate of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, and director of The Zion Academy of Music in Stockton, Calif. He is senior pastor of the Congregation of Zion in Stockton.

Griefshare at St. Johns Griefshare will be offered at St. Johns United Methodist Church, 300 N. Pine St., Seaford, starting Sunday, March 5, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. in the Wesley Lounge. This is a 13 week nondenominational grief support group. The group will provide ideas on how to move forward through video, workbook and group support. Our first class will discuss Is This Normal. We invite you to join us on the 13 week journey. No cost. No childcare. No children.

Sister to Sister Gathering II to be held at St. Johns UMC The Sister to Sister Gathering II will be held on Saturday, April 29 at St. Johns United Methodist Church at 300 N. Pine Street in Seaford. Check-in will be from 9:30-10:15 a.m. The program will take place from 10:30-11:30 a.m., and a catered luncheon will be served from noon-1:30 p.m. The speaker will be speaker Mrs. Susie Bond, a retreat leader for over 200 retreats for women, couples, and professional groups and Disciple Bible Study facilitator. The theme is Jesus said: I am the Bread of Life- John 6:35. The registration fee is $15, with registration ending April 14 or until 250 maximum seating is reached.
