Griefshare at St. John's

Griefshare will be offered at St. John's United Methodist Church, 300 N. Pine St., Seaford, starting Sunday, March 5, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. in the Wesley Lounge.
This is a 13 week nondenominational grief support group. The group will provide ideas on how to move forward through video, workbook and group support. Our first class will discuss Is This Normal.'
We invite you to join us on the 13 week journey. No cost. No childcare. No children.

Oyster Sandwich Sale

Oyster sandwiches will be for sale on Saturday, Feb. 18, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Concord UM Church Community House. Hot dogs, homemade pies and cakes, and beverages will also be available.
Concord UM Church is located at 25322 Church Rd., just off Concord Road (Rt. 20E) near Seaford. For more information, call 629-7706.

Tuesday, Feb. 21 - Join us for a fundraiser at Delmar Pizza from 5-9 p.m. Ten percent of your bill will be directed to Christ Connections, the church youth group.
Tuesday, Feb. 28 - Join us for Shrove Tuesday Pancake Dinner hosted by our youth group from 5-7 p.m. All-you-can-eat. This is a free event. Includes pancakes, sausage, coffee, juice, milk, and water.

March gathering at Mt. Calvary

The Mighty Men of Calvary, 100 Men in Black, invite all men to Mt. Calvary A.M.E., 25206 School Rd., Seaford, on Saturday, March 4 at 6 p.m. Join us as we sing for joy to the Lord and shout aloud to the rock of our salvation.

Community Prayer Breakfast

Church of God and Saints of Christ, 10016 Concord Rd., Seaford, will hold a free Community Prayer Breakfast at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 18, at the Church Hall.
Speaker will be Elder John Jones of Greater Faith Temple COGI, Bridgeville.

Come out and together we will pray for the community.

Black History Program

Join us at Mt. Calvary A.M.E. Church, 25206 School Rd., Concord, as we celebrate our history and accomplishments on Sunday, Feb. 19, at 10 a.m. The theme is Rise Up, Sing a New Song.'
The messenger will be the Rev. John Moore Sr., youth pastor, at Calvary Baptist Church, Dover. Rev. Moore is well known for his portrayal of Dr. Martin Luther King through his presentation of the civil rights leader's famous speeches.

Chicken and Dumpling dinner

Weather permitting, the ladies of Woodland United Methodist Church, 5123 Woodland Church Rd., Seaford, will serve a Chicken and Dumpling dinner on Saturday, Feb. 18 at 6 p.m. Doors open at 5:30.
Cost is $10; children ages six to 12, $5; ages five and under, free.
Woodland Church is located 4.5 miles west of Seaford next to the Woodland Ferry house. No carry-outs. For more information, call 629-5404 or 629-4662.

Christ Lutheran Valentine Dinner

Christ Lutheran Church hosted a Valentine dinner and dance for members and friends on Saturday, Feb. 11.
Music was provided by Tony Windsor and a large number of people enjoyed the good food and music. Valentine photos were also taken.

Grief Share Begins Sunday March 12 at Bethel UMC Lewes

A new session of GriefShare is beginning on Sunday, March 12 at Bethel United Methodist Church, Lewes. Meetings will be held Sundays from 1:00 - 3:00 pm. GriefShare is a 13 week bible based support group. It is free and open to the public for individuals who have suffered a loss due to death. Meetings will be held in the Bethel Parsonage Meeting House located at 129 W. Fourth Street, Lewes, DE. The GriefShare Leader will be Bev Porter. Questions?
