Hymn Sing at St. Pauls St. Pauls UMC Church, 32827 Old Stage Rd., Laurel, invites the community to join us for a night of music on Sunday, Oct. 30 at 6 p.m. This months Hymn Sing features Second Wind, a music ministry featuring Thom Slaughter, evangelist, singer and gospel music writer and his wife, Debbie Slaughter, a cancer and 9/11 survivor. A love offering will be taken to bless their ministry.

Victory Junction Joe Dawson Music Ministry will host Victory Junction on Saturday, Nov. 12 from 6-8:30 p.m., at Long Neck UMC, 32051 Long Neck Rd., Millsboro. Guest singers include Reunion Quartet, Amanda Jones and Joe Dawson. Everyone is welcome. Join us for an evening of fun, fellowship and good gospel music.

Share West Laurel memories The Laurel Historical Society, together with New Zion United Methodist Church, will host an evening of reminiscing about 20th century life in West Laurel on Tuesday, Nov. 1 at 6:30 p.m. Entitled, Nostalgia Night at New Zion, the gathering will take place in the church hall at 430 W. The lighting ceremony will be held at 6 p.m. on Sunday Nov. 27, the first day of Advent, with the Homeland Singers performing holiday music.

Trunk of Treats to take place Oct. 29 Trunk of Treats, which offers a safe place for kids to dress up in costumes and enjoy free snacks, games, and fun, will take place on Saturday, Oct. 29 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at Delmar Church of Phophecy, located at Route 13 North and Dorothy Road in Laurel (three miles north of the Maryland/Delaware state line. Gospel Concert Delmarva Gospel Music Association presents 11th Hour and The Taylors in concert on Friday, Nov. 4, at the new Woodbridge High School in Greenwood at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6. General admission tickets which are $23, can be purchased by calling 302-531-7997, online at or at the door.

Community Prayer Service The Connection Church, 30048 Discountland Rd., Laurel, will hold a Community Prayer Service at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 6. Worship will be led by Bo Dukes and there will be communion and prayer for our nation.
