Summer services at Old Christ Church The Board of Directors and the membership of Old Christ Church League announce the resumption of regular summer services at Old Christ Church, Laurel. Services are held on the first Sunday of each month at 10 a.m., June through September: June 5, July 3, Aug. 7, and Sept. 4. The Order of Worship is taken from an 18th century prayer book in use around the time Old Christ Church was built, 1771-1772. Step back in time when you cross the threshold into Old Christ Church; the church is not electrified and it may take a moment for your eyes to adjust to the shadows. Through the open windows you will see the trees, the church yard, and Chipmans Pond, much as they were in 1771.
