Pre-Mother's Day Service Clarence Street Church of God, 744 E. Clarence St., Seaford, will hold a Pre-Mother's Day Service on Saturday, May 7 at 6 p.m. sharp. Sisters by Choice of Elseys United Methodist Church, Jesterville, Md., will perform. A free will offering will be taken. Prizes will be given to the oldest mother, youngest mother, and mother with the most children. Must be present to win. Everyone is welcome. First Annual Spring Revival St. Paul's UMC, 32827 Old Stage Rd., Laurel, invites the community to join us for our First Annual Spring Revival. The Rev. Dean Perdue will be the guest speaker. Services will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, April 29 and Saturday, April 30. The Island Boys will provide special music. A special Bible study will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday. Craft Show/Yard Sale Join us on Saturday, April 30 from 8 a.m. to noon at Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church, Columbia Road, Delmar, for a Craft Show/Yard Sale. Vendors will join us from Pampered Chef, Mary Kay, Jamberry Nails, Scentsy, Thirty One, Younique and more to make your Mother's Day shopping easier this year. There will also be yard sale items and baked goods.

Griefshare at St. John's Griefshare will be held on Sunday, April 24 from 1 to 2:30 p.m., at St. John's United Methodist Church in Seaford. We will answer the question, "Why?"

Sandwich Sale Delmar Church of God of Prophecy, Rt. 13 North & Dorothy Road, Laurel, will hold a Sandwich Sale featuring oyster sandwiches, crab cakes, soft crabs, chicken salad, baked goods, homemade ice cream and more on Saturday, May 7 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Yard sale spaces are available for $10. Father's Day Dinner Concert Church of God and Saints of Christ, 10016 Concord Rd., Seaford, will hold a Father's Day Dinner Concert featuring the Sussex Community Gospel Mass Choir at 4 p.m. on Father's Day, Sunday, June 19. The menu will feature BBQ ribs, fried and baked chicken, honey baked ham, green beans, seasoned greens, macaroni and cheese, cabbage, baked beans, fresh brewed iced tea, punch and assorted desserts. Spaghetti Dinner Christ Lutheran Church, 315 N. Shipley St., Seaford, will hold an all-you-can-eat Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser on Saturday, April 30 from 5-6:30 p.m. Cost is $10 per person for adults and teens, $5 for ages 6-12 and free for ages 5 and under. Take-out dinners will be available. All prices are payable at the door. In addition to spaghetti, salad, garlic bread, Italian bread and desserts will also be provided. Gethsemane United Meth. Church to hold Bar-b-que chicken dinner Gethsemane United Methodist Church will hold a Bar-b-que chicken dinner, hosted and sponsored by the bible class, on Saturday, April 30 from 4-6 p.m. in Fellowship Hall. The meal includes half an Eming's chicken, applesauce, homemade coleslaw, baked beans, a roll, dessert, and beverage. Advanced tickets are only $11 each. Carry outs will be available. National Day of Prayer Service This year's National Day of Prayer Service, "Wake Up, America," based on Isaiah 58:1, will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 5, at Graham AME Church on North First Street in Greenwood. According to area coordinator and Dept. of DE VFW Auxiliary Chaplain Dr. Michaele Russell, the Rev. Gayle Williams, the newly appointed pastor of Graham AME Church, will be the keynote speaker. Many area churches will be invited to participate. A Buddy Poppy Campaign will take place prior to the service and a free will offering will be taken at intermission for the National Day of Prayer Task Force, a nonprofit organization. A social hour with light refreshments will be held in Graham's Fellowship Hall immediately after the service. As a special outreach for homeless veterans or any veteran - male and female - in need, new socks in original packaging will be collected. No used socks, please. Socks may be any color or style: anklets, crew, or over the calf. A collection box will be placed at the door. The public is welcome to attend.
