Father's Day Dinner Concert

Church of God and Saints of Christ, 10016 Concord Rd., Seaford, will hold a Father's Day Dinner Concert featuring the Sussex Community Gospel Mass Choir at 4 p.m. on Father's Day, Sunday, June 19.
The menu will feature BBQ ribs, fried and baked chicken, honey baked ham, green beans, seasoned greens, macaroni and cheese, cabbage, baked beans, fresh brewed iced tea, punch and assorted desserts.

'I Will Follow You' play

Power Productions will present 'I Will Follow You', an original Christian play based on the story of Jonah on Saturday, April 23 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, April 24 at 2:30 p.m. at Christian Community Center, 408 Gordy Rd., Salisbury, Md.
The story of Jonah is about obedience to God and manÕs willingness to follow Him wherever He leads. The story also surrounds the forgiveness of those who many feel do not deserve God's mercy.
The play features three stories about following God into what we would consider impossible circumstances. The first story tells the actual tale of Jonah, the second is based on a modern day Jonah named John and the third concludes the play with a powerful message about salvation.

Indoor Yard and Bake Sale

An Indoor Yard and Bake Sale will be held at Seaford Presbyterian Church, 701 Bridgeville Hwy., Seaford, on Saturday, April 16 from 7 a.m. to noon.
This event will feature something for everyone - antiques, toys, summer clothing, tools, kitchen necessities, cakes, candy, MotherÕs Day gifts, jewelry, dinnerware, glassware, electronics, and more. Scrapple sandwiches will be available to help you shop!

'War Room' movie

Parkway Church of God, Rt. 50 and 600 Edison St., Salisbury, Md., will show the movie, 'War Room', on Saturday, April 30 at 7 p.m. The event is free and everyone is welcome.

Chicken and Dumpling Dinner

National Day of Prayer Breakfast

The National Day of Prayer Breakfast will return to the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center in Salisbury, Md. on Thursday, May 5, at 7:15 a.m. The sixth annual breakfast will feature speaker Randy Singer, a veteran trial lawyer, acclaimed author and pastor. Tickets are $20 per person or $160 for a table of eight. Tickets are available at The Country House in Salisbury or by calling 410-430-4189. Following the breakfast, on the same day, the 65th Annual National Day of Prayer Observance will be held at the Government Office Building in downtown Salisbury at noon. Open Mic Christian Night

Open Mic Christian Night is back with your favorite gospel music and singers. We've kept the same format but we're in a new and more convenient location. Join us at Compassionate Shepherd Ministries, 10771, Rt. 13, across from Laurel Food Lion (large gray building) from 7-9 p.m. on Friday, April 15.

Spaghetti Dinner

Christ Lutheran Church, 315 N. Shipley St., Seaford, will hold an all-you-can-eat Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser on Saturday, April 30 from 5-6:30 p.m.
Cost is $10 per person for adults and teens, $5 for ages 6-12 and free for ages 5 and under. Take-out dinners will be available. All prices are payable at the door.

Gethsemane United Methodist Church to hold Bar-b-que chicken dinner

Gethsemane United Methodist Church will hold a Bar-b-que chicken dinner, hosted and sponsored by the bible class, on Saturday, April 30 from 4-6 p.m. in Fellowship Hall. The meal includes half an Eming's chicken, applesauce, homemade coleslaw, baked beans, a roll, dessert, and beverage. Advanced tickets are only $11 each. Carry outs will be available. National Day of Prayer Service

This year's National Day of Prayer Service, 'Wake Up, America', based on Isaiah 58:1, will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 5, at Graham AME Church on North First Street in Greenwood.
According to area coordinator and Dept. of DE VFW Auxiliary Chaplain Dr. Michaele Russell, the Rev. Gayle Williams, the newly appointed pastor of Graham AME Church, will be the keynote speaker.
Many area churches will be invited to participate. A Buddy Poppy Campaign will take place prior to the service and a free will offering will be taken at intermission for the National Day of Prayer Task Force, a nonprofit organization. A social hour with light refreshments will be held in GrahamÕs Fellowship Hall immediately after the service.

As a special outreach for homeless veterans or any veteran - male and female - in need, new socks in original packaging will be collected. No used socks, please. Socks may be any color or style: anklets, crew, or over the calf. A collection box will be placed at the door.

VBS - Vacation Bible School will be held July 10-15.

Annual Purity Event

Seaford Wesleyan Church will host their Fifth Purity Event on Saturday, April 23 at 2 p.m. This year's theme is Butterfly Kisses.
All girls ages 12 and up are encouraged to attend this free event. Each girl must be accompanied by her mother or the mother figure in her life.

Breast Cancer Fundraiser

A Spaghetti Dinner to benefit Women Support Women will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Saturday, April 16 at All Saints Episcopal Church, 10th St., Delmar.
Cost is $7 per person and includes spaghetti, garlic bread, salad and drinks. Carry out available. Items will also be raffled.

Capital Ringers, Inc., a nonprofit English handbell ensemble, will present a concert, 'Bach to Rock!'' at 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 24 in the main sanctuary of St. John's.
The concert will include arrangements from the Baroque period to today with favorites like Clair de Lune, Don't Stop Believin', Stairway to Heaven, Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy, Rock Around the Clock, and more. A special guest will join the performers in this unique multimedia presentation. A free will offering will be taken during the concert.

Birthday Celebration Service

A Birthday Celebration Service for Bishop Carlton Cannon Sr. will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 24, at Clarence Street Church of God, 744 Clarence St., Seaford. Guest preacher will be Pastor Craig N. Mathies Sr. of Zion Baptist Church, Cambridge Md.

Sister to Sister Gathering to be held at St. John's United Methodist Church

The Sister to Sister Gathering will be held on Saturday, April 16 at St. John;s United Methodist Church at 300 N. Pine Street in Seaford.
Check-in will be from 9:30-10:30 a.m., the program will take place from 10:30-11:30 a.m., and a catered luncheon will be served from noon-1:30 p.m.
The speaker will by Speaker Rev. Kari Jones, co-pastor of Connection Community Church in Middletown. The theme is The Imperfect Women in JesusÕ Family Tree Who Inspire Us to Do God's Perfect Work.
Registration for the event is full. It has reached 250 people, the maximum number of individuals allowed at one time in Fellowship Hall due to fire code regulations. For more information, call St. John's at 629-9466.
