Beef and Dumplings Dinner Concord United Methodist Church will hold a Beef and Dumplings Dinner on Saturday, March 19, from 5-6:30 p.m., at the Community House. Menu includes beef & dumplings, homemade mashed potatoes & gravy, green beans, handmade cole slaw, applesauce, rolls & butter, beverages, and assorted cakes for dessert. Cost is $12 per person or $6 for children under 12; pay at the door. Concord UMC is located at 25322 Church Rd., just off Concord Rd (Rt. 20E) near Seaford. For more information, call 629-7706.

Chicken -n- Dumplings Dinner Christ United Methodist Church's Men of Faith will hold an all-you-can-eat Chicken -n-Dumpling fundraiser dinner, from 4 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 12, at the church located at 510 S. Central Ave., Laurel. Dinner platters will include chicken and dumplings, mashed potatoes, dressing, green beans, applesauce, coleslaw, rolls, and a dessert. Dinners also include a beverage (coffee, tea or water). Cost is $12 for adults, $6 for children. Children 6 and under eat free. Tickets can be purchased in advance or at the door. Guests can eat-in or carry-out. Pick-ups will be available beginning at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 12. Large carry-out orders (six or more) can be picked up prior to 2 p.m. and should be placed in advance by calling the church office at 875-4233. Programs at St. John's UMC Griefshare will be offered at St. John's United Methodist Church, 300 N. Pine St., Seaford, on Sunday, March 13 from 4-5:30 p.m., in the Wesley Lounge. The Challenges of Grief will present the overlooked yet common effects grief has on the mind, body and spirit. Holidays can include any special day which produces a sadness when we have to face the day without that special someone. Events at Bethel UMC Youth Sunday, March 13 - The community is invited to Youth Sunday at Bethel United Methodist Church at 11 a.m. Bethel's youth will lead worship as musicians, worship leaders, and through videos they have prepared. Buck Shockley, a senior at Delmarva Christian High School, will bring the message. All are welcome.

Holy Week Schedule Palm Sunday, March 20: Services at 8, 9:15 and 11 a.m. At 9:15, King's Kids will sing, at 11 a.m. the Chancel Choir will sing. Holy Thursday, March 24, 7 p.m.: Bethel's Youth Music Ministry, YM2, and a Reader's Theatre featuring both youth and adults will highlight worship. The drama, "His Witnesses," is located in a courtroom where God is interrogating the witnesses to Jesus' final hours in the Upper Room, at Gethsemane, at Calvary, and at the tomb. The service will also include Holy Communion. Celebrate Easter, March 27: Services at 8, 9:15, and 11 a.m. - All creation praises God on Easter morning in celebration of the Resurrection of Jesus from the grave. Join with us as we worship and praise God together.

Bethel Worship Center Spring Festival The Bethel Worship Center Spring Festival will be held on Saturday, March 12. Admission is free. Dinner, which will be served at 4:30 p.m. for a small fee, includes hot dog platters, hamburger platters, desserts and drinks. There will be a baked goods auction and music will be provided by the Cross Country Band from 6-9 p.m. Checks and money orders should be made payable to the Bethel Worship Center Building Fund. 'The Meaning of the Manger' Laurel Wesleyan Church presents "The Meaning of the Manger," on Friday, March 25 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, March 27 at 9 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. See how the manger, the cross, and the resurrection changes everything. Delmar Kiwanis Club to sponsor sunrise service The annual Delmar Kiwanis sunrise service will be held at the Francis E. Nunvar football field, located at the Delmar Middle and SeniorHigh School, starting at 7 a.m. with Reverend Michael Rittenhouse conducting the service along with other local clergy.

Sister to Sister Gathering to be held at St. John's United Methodist Church The Sister to Sister Gathering will be held on Saturday, April 16 at St. John;s United Methodist Church at 300 N. Pine Street in Seaford. Check-in will be from 9:30-10 a.m., the program will take place from 10:30-11:30 a.m., and a catered luncheon will be served from noon-1:30 p.m. The speaker will by Speaker Rev. Kari Jones, co-pastor of Connection Community Church in Middletown. The theme is The Imperfect Women in Jesus' Family Tree Who Inspire Us to Do God's Perfect Work. Passover Meal and Service Union United Methodist Church, 2 N. Laws St., Bridgeville, will hold a traditional Passover Meal and Service at 5 p.m. on Thursday, March 24, in the Fellowship Hall. Everyone is welcome and there is no charge to attend, however, donations are welcomed to help cover the purchase of foods and items needed. Pork and Sauerkraut Dinner Bethel United Methodist Church at Oak Grove will hold a pork and sauerkraut dinner on Saturday, March 12 from 4-6 p.m. The menu includes pork, sauerkraut, mashed potatoes, peas and carrots, rolls, apple butter, apple crisp and beverage for $10.
