Outdoor Gospel Music Fest

St. Paul's UMC in Laurel will hold their 8th Annual Outdoor Gospel Music Festival at 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 18. Bring a lawn chair and enjoy The Murray Family, Sounds of Joy, Reunion and The Island Boys. Hamburgers, hot dogs, homemade ice cream and more will be for sale. Proceeds benefit the St. Paul's Youth Program. For more information, call 258-8810.

The Harvesters Quartet

Join us at Delmar First Baptist Church at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 1 for an evening of southern gospel music with The Harvesters Quartet from North Carolina. Known for their close harmony and friendliness, this group will present a program of uplifting and inspirational music. Admission is free but a love offering will be taken.

The Anchormen in concert

Fam Jam Family VBS

Laurel Wesleyan Church will hold Fam Jam Family VBS, Gettin Geared Up to GO!, Aug. 12-14 from 6-8 p.m. Register online at or call the office at 875-5380.
Wacky Water VBS Wrap Up will be held at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 16. There will be one family worship service followed by free food and water fun.

Open Mic Christian Night

Open Mic Christian Night sponsored by Compassionate Shepherd Ministries will be held from 7-9 p.m. on Friday, July 17, at The Lighthouse Church in Laurel. The Delmarva Ramblers, good old bluegrass gospel, will be in concert. Enjoy guitars, mandolin, banjos, stand up bass and a touch of yodeling. Join us for a full night of gospel and praising. Free admission and snacks. A love offering will be taken for local outreach programs.

VBS at Christ Lutheran

Christ Lutheran Church in Seaford will hold Vacation Bible School, Camp Discovery, on Aug. 3-7 from 9 a.m. to noon. Children ages 2-12 are welcome. There will be Bible stories, music, crafts, games and snacks. For more information, call 629-9755.

VBS at Alliance Church

Camp Kilimanjaro: An Epic Expedition Through Proverbs is the theme of Vacation Bible School at Atlanta Road Alliance Church, July 27-31, for children ages 4 through grade 6.
Children may come for supper at 5:30 p.m.; the program is from 6-8:30. There will be singing, Bible stories, recreation, discovery centers, snacks and mission stories.
Pre-registration is requested. Online registration is available or registration forms may be obtained from the church foyer Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-2 p.m.

VBS at Bethel UMC

Bethel UMC of Oak Grove, located west of Seaford at 2381 Neal's School Rd., will hold Vacation Bible School on Aug.3-7 from 6-7:30 p.m. for kids in Pre-K to fifth grade. Summer services

The board of directors of Old Christ Church League welcomes you to summer services at Old Christ Church, Laurel, at 10 a.m. on the first Sunday of August and September. Celebrant will be the Rev. Howard Backus.
A free will offering will be taken for the preservation and restoration of Old Christ Church.
Eagle's Nest campus holds open house for staff, families.
Delmarva Christian Schools hosted a Meet the Leadership Team Open House recently at their Eagle's Nest campus in Milton.
Eagle's Nest families had the opportunity to meet members of Delmarva Christian School's board of directors and staff, including Eagle's Nest campus principal, John Sadler, and curriculum coordinator, Diane Lockwood.
Eagle's Nest became a part of Delmarva Christian Schools in early May.
Parents were able to talk to the Delmarva Christian Schools Eagle's Nest Campus (DCEN) leadership team and have any questions answered about the upcoming school year.
I think that the transition is a good thing. I had no doubts about Eagle's Nest before, but having Eagle's Nest under Delmarva Christian Schools provides students the whole packagefrom Pre-K all the way through high school. It's like one big family, said Julie Hudson, a DCEN parent.
Delmarva Christian Schools Eagle's Nest Campus is a non-denominational Christian school, serving students from Pre-K through 8th grade.
