VBS at Centenary UMC Centenary United Methodist Church, Poplar & Market Sts., Laurel, will hold Vacation Bible School, "Camp Discovery," from 9-11:30 a.m. on July 6-10. Children ages 4-12 are welcome to attend. Children will learn through the Bible story, music, songs, crafts, games and snacks. Pre-registration is encouraged. VBS at First Baptist Church The First Baptist Church of Delmar will begin its annual Vacation Bible School (VBS) with a kick-off/sign-up party from 6:15-8 p.m. on Friday, June 19. There will be food, games, and a water slide, so bring your swimsuit and a towel. This year's theme is Journey Off The Map (unknown to us, known to Him). Bible school will be in full swing each evening from Monday, June 22 thru Friday, June 26, 6:15-8:30 p.m. Ages 4-18 are welcome. Snacks will be provided.

VBS at Gethsemane U.M. Church Gethsemane United Methodist Church will hold Camp Discovery Vacation Bible School from 6-8 p.m. on July 6-9, for kids who will be 3 by Aug. 31 and potty trained, through kids who will be entering fifth grade this fall. Kids will have fun as they explore the Bible, sing songs, play games, and do crafts while discovering how Jesus works through them in their everyday lives. Gethsemane is located at 2701 Woodland Ferry Rd., on Rt. 20, four miles west of Seaford. Early registration is encouraged. Ladies Day at St. Paul's St. Paul's UMC Church in Laurel will host Ladies Day on Saturday, June 20. Guest speaker is Joyce Igo, a Southern Gospel artist and songwriter from West Virginia. A well known speaker for women's conferences, Joyce's country, down home southern style, leaves audiences laughing, shedding a few tears, and challenged to know and serve Jesus Christ. Breakfast will be served from 9-10 a.m. The program is from 10 to noon. Reservations, which are encouraged but not required, may be made by calling 542-7032. Bring a friend and get a blessing. Open Mic Christian Night Compassionate Shepherd Ministries presents Open Mic Christian Night from 7-9 p.m. on Friday, June 19, at The Lighthouse Church in Laurel. Special attraction is The Baptist Boys. Also enjoy the praise music of Connie and Allen Reustle, Wilson Sturgis, Gloria Holland, Bill Sando, Tammy Smith, Millie West and Dean Adkins. Gospel concerts in Fenwick Island Summer Gospel Concerts will be held on Sundays at 7 p.m. at St. Matthews By-The-Sea UMC in Fenwick Island. All concerts are free but a free-will offering will be taken for the singers. Summer services The board of directors of Old Christ Church League welcomes you to summer services at Old Christ Church, Laurel, at 10 a.m. on the first Sunday of July, August and September.

Celebrant will be the Rev. Howard Backus. A free will offering will be taken for the preservation and restoration of Old Christ Church.

VBS at Concord UMC Concord United Methodist Church in Seaford invites children in grades Pre-K and up to Vacation Bible School, "G-FORCE, God's Love In Action!," from 6-8:30, nightly, Monday, June 15 through Friday, June 19. Renewal Regional Camp Meeting The Renewal Regional Camp Meeting will take place June 21-24, at the Renewed Chesapeake Center (Seaford) at 14192 Cokesbury Rd., Georgetown. The meeting will start at 6 p.m. on Sunday; Monday through Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. and Wednesday Youth service at 7 p.m. There will also be a special tribute to military veterans at 7 p.m. on Monday and a Wednesday Youth emphasis at 6 p.m. with Ryan Shawyer, Chris Lockemy, and Josh Robinson. Morning guest speakers will be James Izzard and Jerry Elder and the evening guest speakers will be Dr. Wallace Sibley (Sunday), Dave Roever (Monday), Joycelyn Barnett (Tuesday), and Kevin McGlamery (Wendesday). Voices of Lee will also be featured Monday night.

Vacation Bible School Mount Olivet UMC in Seaford will hold Vacation Bible School on June 22-26 from 5:30-8 p.m. This year's theme is SonSpark Labs, where our little scientists will discover all about God's love. There are classes for Pre-K (ages 3 and potty-trained) through children entering 6th grade. Registration forms are available on the church website or through the church office by calling 629-4458. A light dinner will be provided each night beginning at 5 p.m. The cost for dinner is $3/adults and $1.50 for kids.

Em-ing's Take-Out Chicken Dinner Em-ing's Take-Out Chicken Dinner will be held at Christ Lutheran Church in Seaford on Saturday, June 27 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dinners are $11 each. Beverages are sold separately. Dinner includes a half chicken, two sides, fresh roll and butter. To place an order, call the church office at 629-9755. The office is open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The last day to call in an order is June 23. A limited number of dinners will be available for walk-in customers. Seating will be available for those who want to eat in.Proceeds benefit the Christ Lutheran/Thrivent Financial Food Shelf - Needy People Fund.

Prayer Breakfast The Church of God and Saints of Christ on Concord Road, Seaford, will hold a Prayer Breakfast on Saturday, June 20.
