Centenary welcomes youth group On Sunday, April 26, Centenary United Methodist Church, 200 W. Market St., Laurel, has invited the "C.R.A.S.H." (Creating Revolution And Saving Hearts) Youth Ministries group from Mariner's Bethel U.M. Church, Ocean View, to lead the 10 a.m. worship service. Their praise team will lead the service in a variety of music and present the Word through stomp and drama. Pastor Woodie Wilson will share the Good News in his own special way. Griefshare at St. John's UMC Griefshare is being offered by St. John's United Methodist Church, 300 N. Pine St., Seaford, on Sunday, April 26 from 4-5:30 p.m. in the Wesley Lounge. We will learn how complicating factors affect grief and how to deal with nightmares and flashbacks. If you are living with grief, we invite you to join us for the 13 week non-denominational journey, From Mourning to Joy. No children as childcare is not provided. Call 629-9466 to register.

UUMC sets Annual Plant Sale The annual plant sale at Union United Methodist Church in Federalsburg, Md., will be held on Friday, May 1 and Saturday, May 2. A wide variety of annuals and perennials will be for sale along with many hanging baskets, perfect for Mother's Day. The sale will be held behind the church where ample parking will be available. Help getting plants to your vehicle will be provided. Plant sale hours are: Friday - 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday - 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. For more information, call the church office at 410-754-9210.

Sandwich Sale, Yard Sale Delmar Church of God of Prophecy in Laurel will hold a Sandwich Sale on Saturday, May 2 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The sale will feature oyster sandwiches, crab cakes, soft crabs, chicken salad and more. There will also be baked goods and homemade ice cream. For a yard sale space, which is $10, call 443-235-5494.

Spring Yard Sale Event Carey's United Methodist Church in Millsboro announces its Spring Yard Sale Event on Saturday, May 2 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. This is a community outreach opportunity and everyone is invited. Come to buy, come to sell. Bring your own tables. Cost is $5 for a space which must be reserved. There will also be scrapple sandwiches, hamburgers, hot dogs and drinks. Hymn Sing at St. Paul's St. Paul's UMC Church in Laurel invites the community to join us for a night of worship at 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 26. This month's Hymn Sing will feature the music ministry of Thom Slaughter of Second Wind Ministries. Thom is well known throughout Delmarva for his inspirational songs and gifted music ministry. Come join us for an evening that will lift your spirits. A love offering will be taken to benefit his ministry.

Fish Fry at Agape Temple Agape Temple International Ministries, 40 Schulze Rd., Greenwood, will have $10 fish dinners on Friday, April 24 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Annual Prayer Breakfast The Kiwanis Club of Delmar will hold their annual Prayer Breakfast on Thursday, May 9 starting at 9 a.m. in Camelot Hall at St. Stephens United Methodist Church. The Rev. Kenneth Athey will deliver the message and the choir of First Baptist Church will furnish the music. Tickets are $6 and can be purchased from Kiwanis members or at the door.

Mission at Our Lady of Lourdes Fr. Frank Donio, S.A.C., director of the Catholic Apostolate Center in Washington, D.C., will present "Encountering Christ: A Parish Mission" at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Seaford on Wednesday, April 29, Thursday, April 30 and Friday, May 1 from 7-8:30 p.m. What does it mean to have a personal encounter with Jesus Christ? Join Fr. Frank Donio during this special three-day parish mission as we explore the ways in which we can encounter Christ in our parish community and in our daily lives. The New Evangelization calls us to live as "missionary disciples" - followers who have personally encountered Christ and are sent into the world to bring Him to others. Fr. Frank works closely with the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops on areas of evangelization and collaboration among Catholic leaders.

Expressions of Joy Concert Expressions of Joy, an 11 member harp ensemble, will perform at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, April 24, at St. John's United Methodist Church, 300 N. Pine St., Seaford. Admission is free. The ensemble will perform a variety of styles of music including Irish, sacred and traditional. Solos, duets and ensemble pieces will be performed.
