Breakfast at Christ the Cornerstone Join us for breakfast at Christ the Cornerstone Community Church located at the corner of Bethel Road in Laurel on Saturday, April 11, at 8 a.m. The menu includes ham, sausage gravy with biscuits, eggs, fried potatoes and fruit. Price is $7 per person.

Annual Prayer Breakfast The Kiwanis Club of Delmar will hold their annual Prayer Breakfast on Thursday, May 9 starting at 9 a.m. in Camelot Hall at St. Stephens United Methodist Church. The Rev. Kenneth Athey will deliver the message and the choir of First Baptist Church will furnish the music. Tickets are $6 and can be purchased from Kiwanis members or at the door.

Griefshare at St. John's UMC Griefshare is being offered by St. John's United Methodist Church, 300 N. Pine St., Seaford, on Sunday, April 12 from 4-5:30 p.m. in the Wesley Lounge. "Why" questions will be addressed and we will learn how God wants us to share our feelings with him. If you are living with grief, we invite you to join us for the 13 week non-denominational journey, From Mourning to Joy. No children as childcare is not provided. Call 629-9466 to register.

Bethel Community House Soup Luncheon is April 11 The Bethel Community House Soup Luncheon will take place on April from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 2381 Neal's School Road in Seaford. Fish Fry at Agape Temple Agape Temple International Ministries, 40 Schulze Rd., Greenwood, will have $10 fish dinners on Friday, April 24 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Mt. Calvary AME hosts fundraiser The We Care Truckand Bus Driver organization will be having a fundraiser at Mt. Calvary AME Church in Concord on April 11 at 5 p.m. Help the organization help others. The church's pastor is Idola Batson. Robert and Bobby Green are the chairpersons.

Mission at Our Lady of Lourdes Fr. Frank Donio, S.A.C., director of the Catholic Apostolate Center in Washington, D.C., will present "Encountering Christ: A Parish Mission" at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Seaford on Wednesday, April 29, Thursday, April 30 and Friday, May 1 from 7-8:30 p.m.

What does it mean to have a personal encounter with Jesus Christ? Join Fr. Frank Donio during this special three-day parish mission as we explore the ways in which we can encounter Christ in our parish community and in our daily lives. The New Evangelization calls us to live as "missionary disciples" - followers who have personally encountered Christ and are sent into the world to bring Him to others. Fr. Frank works closely with the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops on areas of evangelization and collaboration among Catholic leaders.

Seaford Wesleyan Church to hold free clothing and lunch The Seaford Wesleyan Church will be holding a "free clothing and lunch" on Saturday, April 12 from 11 a.m.- 2 p.m. at the St Lukes Episcopal Church, 202 North Street, Seaford. Everyone is welcome. Come and be blessed!"

Expressions of Joy Concert Expressions of Joy, an 11 member harp ensemble, will perform at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, April 24, at St. John's United Methodist Church, 300 N. Pine St., Seaford. Admission is free. The ensemble will perform a variety of styles of music including Irish, sacred and traditional. Solos, duets and ensemble pieces will be performed. 21st Heavenly Sons of Joy concert A concert celebrating the 21st anniversary of the "Heavenly Sons of Joy" will be held on Sunday, April 12 at 4 p.m. at the Refuge Temple Church of God in the Rev. Hattie Stanley Dream Center at 800 Robbins Street in Cambridge. Featured groups will include: "The Heavenly Sons of Joy", with special guests "The Watson Four Gospel Singers", along with various other groups. There will be a free will offering. Native American Ministries Sunday Raggie Calentine, a Native American of the Eastern Cherokee Indian tribe, will be the guest speaker at Concord United Methodist Church on Sunday, April 12, at 9 a.m. A well-known speaker, Raggie will deliver the message for the day and do "Children's Time." There will be a special offering opportunity to support Native American Ministries in the Peninsula Delaware Conference. The public is invited to help "pack the pews" at Concord UM Church as they celebrate Native American Ministries Sunday. Concord UMC is located at 25322 Church Rd. (Rt. 20A east of Sussex Highway).
