Griefshare at St. John's UMC Griefshare is being offered by St. John's United Methodist Church, 300 N. Encountering Christ: A Parish Mission Our Lady of Lourdes presents "Encountering Christ: A Parish Mission" on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, April 29-May 1 from 7-8:30 p.m. at the church. The event will be presented by Fr. Frank Donio, SAC, director of Catholic Apostolate Center. Light refreshments in the hall after each service. What does it mean to have a "personal encounter with Jesus Christ?" Pope Francis invites us to such an encounter, but how do we do it? Mission at Our Lady of Lourdes Fr. Frank Donio, S.A.C., director of the Catholic Apostolate Center in Washington, D.C., will present "Encountering Christ: A Parish Mission" at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Seaford on Wednesday, April 29, Thursday, April 30 and Friday, May 1 from 7-8:30 p.m. What does it mean to have a personal encounter with Jesus Christ? Join Fr. Frank Donio during this special three-day parish mission as we explore the ways in which we can encounter Christ in our parish community and in our daily lives. The New Evangelization calls us to live as "missionary disciples" - followers who have personally encountered Christ and are sent into the world to bring Him to others. Fr. Frank works closely with the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops on areas of evangelization and collaboration among Catholic leaders.

Easter musical program The choir of Atlanta Road Alliance Church, under the direction of Richard Trice, will present a musical program, The Lamb: Honored, Glorified, Exalted! on Easter Sunday at 11 a.m. The musical selections are a blend of recently popularized material and timeless choral standards arranged and orchestrated by David Clydesdale, Tom Fettke, Camp Kirkland, Steve Moore, Jay Rouse, and Randy Vader. LMA plans Sunrise Service On Good Friday, April 3, at 7 p.m., there will be an ecumenical worship service on the "Seven Last Words of Christ" at Christ United Methodist Church, 510 S. Central St., Laurel. All are welcome. There will be an ecumenical Easter Sunrise Service at 6:30 a.m. on Easter morning, April 5, at Janosik Park in Laurel. In the event of inclement weather, the service will be held in the sanctuary of the Centenary United Methodist Church, 200 W. Market St., Laurel. Easter celebration at Gospel Cafe Gospel Cafe at Christ Evangelistic Church in Laurel will have a special Easter celebration from 6 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, April 4. An Easter Skit will be performed by our youth and there will be other great musical talent. Dinner, catered by Marilyn's Catering, is at 5 p.m. Tickets are $10 each and include an entree, dessert and drink. Contact Nancy for tickets. Expressions of Joy Concert Expressions of Joy, an 11 member harp ensemble, will perform at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, April 24, at St. John's United Methodist Church, 300 N. Pine St., Seaford. Admission is free. The ensemble will perform a variety of styles of music including Irish, sacred and traditional. Solos, duets and ensemble pieces will be performed. Native American Ministries Sunday Raggie Calentine, a Native American of the Eastern Cherokee Indian tribe, will be the guest speaker at Concord United Methodist Church on Sunday, April 12, at 9 a.m. A well-known speaker, Raggie will deliver the message for the day and do "Children's Time." There will be a special offering opportunity to support Native American Ministries in the Peninsula Delaware Conference.
