Purity Banquet Seaford Wesleyan Church (The Ark) will hold their 3rd annual Purity event at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 14. This year's theme is Princess, Daughter of a Heavenly King." This event is free for girls age 12 and up who would like to take a vow of purity or renew their vow. It is a wonderful opportunity to share what God's plans are for their life. Events at Snethen UMC Snethen UMC will hold a spaghetti dinner on Friday, March 13 from 5-7:30 p.m. Adults are $8, children 12 & under are $3. Includes beverage, salad, bread, spaghetti and dessert. Lenten Worship, Fellowship, Study On Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., All Saints' Episcopal Church, 100 N. Tenth St., Delmar, will offer an Order of Worship followed by a soup supper, a DVD presentation and discussion on: The World's Greatest Churches. Each Wednesday of Lent we are examining how history, theology and culture are reflected in five great churches: Left to go over are March 18, The Cave Churches of Capadocia, and March 25, The Rock-Hewn Churches of Ethiopa. Everyone is welcome.

Beef and Dumpling Dinner Concord United Methodist Church will have a Beef and Dumplings Dinner on Saturday, March 14, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the Community House. Menu includes beef & dumplings, homemade mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, homemade cole slaw, applesauce, rolls and butter, beverages, and assorted cakes for dessert, all for $12 per person or $6 for children under 12 (pay at the door). Quarter Auction Encounter Praize and Worship Center will hold a quarter auction from 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, March 12. Tickets are available for preorder by calling Jennie at 542-8728 or Denise or Gregg Crothers at 629-7390. Only preordered tickets will be allowed to bid on a specialty basket. Tickets are $10. Additional paddles will be available for $5 each.

Men of Elegance Fashion Show Men of Elegance, First Annual All Male Fashion Show, will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, March 22, at Church of God and Saints of Christ, 10016 Concord Rd., Seaford. Dinner will be served. Cost is a donation of $20 for adults and $10 for children under 12. This event is sponsored by Sussex Community Gospel Ministries. For tickets, call Betty Murry at 337-8975.

Ham and Cabbage Dinner A Ham and Cabbage Dinner will be held on Saturday, March 14, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Christ the Cornerstone Community Church located at the corner of Bethel Road in Laurel. Cost is $8 per person which includes roll, dessert and beverage.

'The Upper Room to the Empty Tomb' Journey through three unique services at Laurel Wesleyan Church this Easter, The Upper Room to the Empty Tomb. Allegiance Quartet in Concert Christ's Church of New Hope will host the Allegiance Quartet in a special time of fellowship and revival on Palm Sunday, March 29 through April 1 at Crossview Church, 33056 Bi-State Blvd., south of Laurel. Sunday's worship times will be 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday through Wednesday worship times will be at 7 p.m. Nationally known recording artist, Art Bush will be joined by Chuck Seevers, J.D. Segroves and Jerry Timbrook. Come enjoy the unique blend of contemporary and southern gospel music that makes the Allegiance Quartet so popular. The public is invited to this free event. 'Chicken 'n Dumpling' dinner Christ United Methodist Church's Men of Faith will hold an all-you-can-eat 'chicken 'n dumpling' fundraiser dinner, from 4 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 21, at the church, 510 S. Central Ave., Laurel. Dinner platters will include chicken and dumplings, mashed potatoes, dressing, green beans, applesauce, coleslaw, rolls and a dessert. Dinners also include a beverage (coffee, tea or water). Cost is $12 for adults, $6 for children. Children six and under eat free. Tickets can be purchased in advance or at the door. Guests can eat in or carry out. Pickups will be available beginning at 2 p.m. on March 21. Large carryout orders (six or more) can be picked up prior to 2 p.m., but should be placed in advance by calling the church office at 875-4233. Please place large orders by 5 p.m. Thursday, March 19. Griefshare at St. John's UMC Griefshare is being offered by St. John's United Methodist Church, 300 N. Pine St., Seaford, on Sunday, March 15 from 4-5:30 p.m. in the Wesley Lounge. The Journey of Grief Part 1 will deal with goals to set during the long journey of grief. Open Mic Christian Night Open Mic Christian Night sponsored by Compassionate Shepherd Ministries will be held on Friday, March 20 from 7-9 p.m., at The Lighthouse Church, 27225 Kaye Rd., Laurel. The Island Boys will be in concert. Everyone is welcome to join us for a full night of gospel and praising. Free admission and snacks. A love offering will be taken for local outreach programs.
