Gospel Singing The Delmar First Baptist Church, Delmar, Md., will hold a gospel concert at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 4, with the Bates Family, a group from Pennsylvania that has been singing for over 30 years. Everyone is welcome to join us. Start the new year off in a good way by enjoying some Southern Gospel music. There is no charge for admission, but a love offering will be taken. Griefshare at St. John's Griefshare is being offered by St. John's United Methodist Church, 300 N. Pine St., Seaford, from 4-5:30 p.m., in the Wesley Lounge. On Sunday, Jan. 4, we will learn The Top 20 Questions of Grief Part 1. We will hear from those who have walked the Journey of Grief and share the lessons they have learned. Open Mic Christian Night Open Mic Christian Night will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 2, at The Lighthouse Church in Laurel. Monthly writers' group Have you always wished you could write stories, articles or even a book, but don't know how to begin? Have you drafted manuscripts, but need help getting them published? Whether you are a novice or have achieved success in writing, you are invited to join Kingdom Writers Fellowship. Hat, Scarf, Mitten Drive Don's Tree Farm in association with Georgetown Presbyterian Church is collecting new hats, scarves and mittens for local schools, Boys and Girls Clubs and other local charities. God's Men Breakfast God's Men Breakfast for the Youth Project Fund will be held at Centenary United Methodist Church, Poplar and Market Streets, Laurel, on Saturday, Jan. 3, from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. Enjoy pancakes, sausages, eggs, scrapple and potatoes, coffee and orange juice while helping the fund. Children under three eat for free. Children up to 12 years, eat for $3 and older children and adults eat for $7.
