Outdoor Gospel Music Festival St. Paul's UMC, located at 32837 Old Stage Rd., Laurel, will have their 7th Annual Outdoor Gospel Music Festival on Saturday, July 26 at 4 p.m. Bring a lawn chair and enjoy The Murray Family, Sounds of Joy, The Island Boys and The Homeland Singers. Gospel Hymn Sing Victory Junction will hold a gospel hymn sing featuring The Baptist Boys and Joe Dawson at Long Neck United Methodist Church, 32051 Long Neck Rd., Millsboro, on Saturday, July 12 from 6 to 8 p.m. Free refreshments. Come as you are.

VBS at Storm Shelter Ministry The Storm Shelter Ministry of Laurel will hold Vacation Bible School, "The Jesus Connection....What a Friend," nightly from 6 to 8 on July 16-18. Ages 3 (potty trained) to adults are encouraged to attend. Snacks will be provided. VBS will close on July 19 with a revival at Market Square Bandstand located in downtown Laurel from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Bring a chair and come celebrate the Lord. For more information, call 875-7997.

Events at St. Stephen's UMC St. Stephen's UMC will hold Vacation Bible School, "An Island Odyssey," for kids in pre-K through 6th grade, the week of July 13-18. A kick off breakfast will be held at the church in Camelot Hall from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 12. Tickets are $8 for adults, $4 for kids ages 4 to 12 and free for kids under 4. Tickets are available in advance at the church office or at the door the day of the event. VBS will be held nightly from 5:30 to 8 on Sunday, July 13 through Friday, July 18. A light dinner will be served nightly from 5:30 to 6. Register online at The church is selling flower pots to raise money for Relay for Life. There are various sizes and colors. Cost is $5 each. VBS at St. Paul's St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Laurel will have Vacation Bible School (VBS) on Aug. 4-8 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

VBS at Mount Olivet UMC Mount Olivet UMC in Seaford will hold its annual Vacation Bible School, SonTreasure Island, Monday, Aug. 4 through Friday, Aug. 8 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. There will also be a closing program during the 11 a.m. service on Sunday, Aug. 10. Children ages 3 (potty trained) through entering 6th grade are invited to attend. Children who are not potty trained must be accompanied by a parent. There is no cost to attend. Chicken Salad Sale St. Stephens United Methodist Church in Delmar will hold a Chicken Salad Sale to benefit Relay for Life on Wednesday, July 23, at Camelot Hall. Cost is $12 per quart or $7 per pint. Pre-orders are strongly encouraged by July 15. Later orders will be put on a waiting list. VBS at Bethel UMC Bethel UMC of Oak Grove, located west of Seaford at 2381 Neal's School Road, will hold Vacation Bible School on Aug. 18-22 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. for kids in pre-K to fifth grade.
