Services at Old Christ Church Summer services for Old Christ Church, Laurel, will be held at 10 a.m. on the first Sunday of each month, June through September. The services are conducted according to an historic liturgy, Holy Eucharist, celebrated by the Rev. Howard Backus and sermon. Come as you are and enjoy worship in this church which was built in 1771. All-you-can-eat Fish Fry Centenary UMC located at 200 W. Market St., Laurel, will host an all-you-can-eat Fish Fry from 4 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, June 21. Cost is $12 for adults, $5 for children ages 6 to 12 and children under 6 are free. Carry-outs are available.

Open Mike Christian Night Open Mike Christian Night is the first and third Friday of every month from 7 to 9 p.m. at The Lighthouse Church. Free admission and free snacks. Bring your singing talents and CD or musical instrument. One person, group singers, young to seniors are welcome. Enjoy singing, praises and testimonials to the Lord. Grief support group GriefShare, a 13 week nondenominational grief support group is being offered by St. John's United Methodist Church in Seaford, beginning Sunday, June 22. Sessions will be held from 4 to 5:30 p.m. GriefShare is a biblical based program for the journey of grief and recovery utilizing video, workbook and group discussion. Jeannette's in concert Asbury United Methodist Church, Rt. 9, near Hardscrabble, will welcome Jimmy and Pattie Jeannette as they bring a special service of music and message on Sunday, June 22 at 9:15 a.m. Jimmy Jeannette, a rural mail carrier, has a special gift of song and sharing his love of God with fellow Christians. Home repair program available Homeowners in rural areas who need repairs to their home but can't afford regular loans may be eligible for a USDA Rural Development loan at only one percent interest. Seniors, age 62 and older, may qualify for free home repairs up to $7,500 through the USDA Rural Development grant program. Funding may become limited after June 30. "We are looking for lower income homeowners that need help fixing or replacing a roof, installation or repair of a septic system, replace storm doors and windows, or other repairs to correct or remove existing health, safety, sanitary and accessibility issues," said Bill McGowan, Delaware and Maryland director for USDA Rural Development. Hymn Sing at St. Paul's St. Paul's UMC Church invites the community to this month's Hymn Sing featuring The Island Boys on Sunday, June 29. Known for their love of people and strong vocals, Danny Travers of Deal Island and Ernie Evans of Smith Island have been singing together for the glory of God for six years. Allegiance Quartet to perform Christ's Church of New Hope will host the Allegiance Quartet in a special time of fellowship and revival on June 29-30 and July 1, at the Bridgeville Banquet Center (next to Jimmy's Grille) in Bridgeville.

Sunday's worship times will be at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday and Tuesday worship times will be at 7 p.m. Nationally known recording artist, Art Bush, leads the quartet in their unique blend of contemporary and southern Gospel music, as they return to Christ's Church of New Hope for the third year in a row. Gospel music concert Join us at the gazebo in downtown Laurel on July 4th for an array of gospel music. Every singer has their own unique style of praising God through their music. The concert will be from held 2 to 3 p.m. Bring your chairs, clap your hands and enjoy a lot of singing.

Whether you are a novice or have achieved success in writing, you are invited to join Kingdom Writers Fellowship. 'Arrow Island' VBS First Baptist Church of Seaford presents "Arrow Island," its 2014 Vacation Bible School program, Monday, July 7 through Friday, July 11 from 7 a.m. to noon.
