Welcome home to Wesley A homecoming and historic marker unveiling for Wesley UMC, located at 22025 Atlanta Rd., Seaford, is planned for Saturday, May 10. All who are members, attendees or friends have a special invitation. Come and enjoy fellowship, gospel music by The Sounds of Joy and refreshments. The unveiling will be held at 2 p.m. followed by music at 3.

River City Church opening day The brand new River City Church will have its opening day this Sunday, May 4, at 10:30 a.m. at the Cheer Center, 20520 Sand Hill Rd, Georgetown. No Name Band to perform The No Name Band will be at Grace United Methodist Church Hall, Georgetown, at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, May 2. For more information, contact Everett Warrington at 337-7198.

Gospel Cafe returns The Gospel Cafe will open on Saturday, May 3 at Christ Evangelistic Church in Laurel. Dinner by Marilyns Catering will be held at 5 p.m. Music featuring Michael Falknor and Kaila Clucas from Delaware Teen Challenge will begin at 6. Open Mike Christian Night Open Mike Christian Night is the first and third Friday of every month from 7 to 9 p.m. at The Lighthouse Church. Free admission and free snacks. Bring your singing talents - CD or musical instrument. One person, group singers, young to seniors are welcome. Enjoy singing, praises and testimonials to the Lord. An array of great singers are already lined up. We are collecting donations of Vienna sausages, snacks and stuffed toys for kids backpacks. The church is located at 27225 Kaye Rd., Laurel. Native American Womens Choir A Native American womens praise choir representing 19 tribes will perform at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 11, at Grace Baptist Church in Seaford. The choir will present a program of praise music singing in the Cherokee, Choctaw and Chickasaw languages. The program is free and open to the public. Spring Yard Sale Careys United Methodist Church will hold a Spring Yard Sale on Saturday, May 3, at the church on Careys Camp Road in Millsboro. Come to buy, come to sell! Everyone is invited to reserve a space. Bring your own tables. Cost is $5 per space, payable on site.

Salvation Army to hold Revival The Salvation Army in Seaford will hold a Revival at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 17. The Salvation Army is located behind the Talapia Mexican Restaurant. Refreshments will be served. For more information, call 262-0481.

Southern Gospel Concert The award winning Southern Gospel Group, The Browders, will appear in concert at Snethen United Methodist Church in Mardela Springs, Md., at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 1. National Day of Prayer: St. Pauls St. Pauls UMC invites the community to join us at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 1, for the annual National Day of Prayer service. This years theme is One Voice, United in Prayer. St. Pauls UMC is located at 32827 Old Stage Road, Laurel.

National Day of Prayer: Greenwood The annual National Day of Prayer Service for the Greenwood area will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 1, at Agape Temple International Ministries, Inc., 40 Shulze Road, Greenwood.
