Hawaiian Luau at Christ Lutheran A Hawaiian Luau will be held at Christ Lutheran Church in Seaford from 5 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 9. Admission is free. There will be a silent auction, wild Hawaiian DJ and an a la carte food menu at affordable prices. Hawaiian dress is encouraged but not required. The menu includes pulled pork sweet barbecue sandwiches, hot dogs with Hawaiian relish, luau punch, banana nut cake, coleslaw, macaroni salad, pineapple upside down cake and ambrosia salad. Community Action plans dinner First State Community Action Agency, a statewide non-profit helping low-income people become self-sufficient, is celebrating 48 years of service with an annual dinner and recognition ceremony, on Monday, Nov. 18, at Dover Downs Conference Center.
