Lightning Strikes concert series The Lightning Strikes concert series, at The Lighthouse Church located at 27225 Kaye Rd., just off Rt. 9, County Seat Highway at Dukes Lumber Road, Laurel, is held every second and fourth Saturday of the month. Writing group Kingdom Writers Fellowship (KWF), a Christian group of aspiring writers, is welcoming new members. If you enjoy writing, desire to improve your writing and would like the encouragement and support of a small group, consider joining KWF. Awana Clubs at Alliance Church Awana Clubs are being held at Atlanta Road Alliance Church on Wednesday evenings from 6:45 to 8:25 p.m. for children in kindergarten through sixth grade. Sparks (K-second grade) ignites the curiosity of early elementary kids to learn about the people and events of the Bible, building a foundation of wisdom for knowing Christ. Cannon Homecoming Service The Cannon United Methodist Church will hold a homecoming service on Sunday, January 13th at 2 p.m. Special music will be provided by Thom & Debbie Slaugher, a 9/11 survivor with an inspirational story and message. Rev. Martha Callaway will be leading the service joined by Pastor Rich Evans of St. John's Methodist Church of Seaford. A time of fellowship will follow the service. Open Mike Christian Night Open Mike Christian Night will be held the first and third Friday of the month from 7 to 9 p.m., at The Lighthouse Church, located at 27225 Kaye Rd., just off Rt. 9, County Seat Highway at Dukes Lumber Road.

St. Luke's newsletter St. Luke's Episcopal Church offers its newsletter online and also via email. Luke's Letter is published quarterly and is available on: www.stlukesseaford.org. Cornerstone Shoppe The Cornerstone Shoppe (a fundraiser) is now open at Christ the Cornerstone Community Church, corner of Bethel and Seaford Rd, Laurel. On sale are collectibles, gifts, toys and more, jewelry, furniture, and items too numerous to list. Stop in on Thursday from noon to 7 p.m., Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., or Saturday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. to see bargains galore.
