Open Mike Christian Night Open Mike Christian Night will be held the first and third Friday of the month from 7 to 9 p.m., at The Lighthouse Church located at 27225 Kaye Rd., just off Rt. 9, County Seat Highway at Dukes Lumber Road. Admission is free and there will be free snacks. Bring your singing talents - CD or musical instrument. Always special guests. One person, group singers, young to seniors welcome. Old Christ Church summer schedule Old Christ Church announces regular summer services on the first Sundays, Aug. 5 and Sept. 2. Services begin at 10 a.m. at Old Christ Church, which is at the corner of Chipmans Pond Road and Christ Church Road in Laurel. Old Christ Church is now part of the Delaware History Trail; more information can be found at We also offer Old Christ Church note cards for sale, $10 for a package of a dozen notes with envelopes. Quaker meeting for worship The Salisbury Friends Worship Group of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) will hold a Christ-centered unprogrammed meeting for worship on Sunday, Aug. 12, at 1 p.m. at Community of Joy church, located at 302 South Blvd., Salisbury, Md. Bible Boot Camp Laurel Wesleyan Church will hold VBS Sundays, "Bible Boot Camp," this summer. Kids items accepted Little Grace "Newborn & Children's Closet" at Grace United Methodist Church, 7 S. King St., Georgetown, is accepting newborn and children's clothing as well as any baby and kids items any time. Mt. Olivet plans workshop As part of Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church's Revitalize series, a special workshop has been planned. On Sunday, Aug. 5, from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m., church members and the community are invited to meet informally in Mt. Olivet's Fellowship Hall to receive the tools that will make prayer more comfortable. Located in the heart of Seaford on High Street, Mt. Olivet is a diverse and inclusive community of people. Two services are held every Sunday at 8:30 a.m. and 11. Sunday school classes for children and adults are also available at 9:45 a.m. Labor Day through Memorial Day. The members of Mt. Olivet welcome everyone to join in fellowship, and to visit just as you are.

Consignment Boutique, Art Gallery The Church Mouse Consignment Boutique and Art Gallery, a mission of Union United Methodist Church in Bridgeville, is now open Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. All proceeds go to Union United Methodist Church. The church is located at 210 Market St., Bridgeville.

Special worship hour St. John's United Methodist Church extends an open invitation to come to a special 10 a.m. worship hour on Sunday, Aug. 12. The Itzels, Maryland's premiere independent Christian music ministry, will perform. Bill and Karen, along with their three children, Jessica, Ryan, and Shannon Bailey, have been touring full-time for over 20 years and have over 200 original songs. Women's Conference & Luncheon Bethel Worship Center's Sisters in Christ Women's Ministry will present "A Healing Place Women's Conference & Luncheon" on Saturday, Aug. 11 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Bethel Worship Center in Seaford. The luncheon will begin at noon. Speaker will be Pastor Brenda Smack. Music will be provided by Agape Tabernacle's Praise & Worship and Jennifer Price-Kimball.
