Awana Clubs at Alliance Church Awana clubs are being held at Atlanta Road Alliance Church on Wednesdays from 6:45 to 8:25 p.m., for children in Kindergarten through sixth grade. Sparks (K-second grade) ignites the curiosity of early elementary kids to learn about the people and events of the Bible, building a foundation of wisdom for knowing Christ. T&T (Truth & Training) engages third- through sixth-graders by answering their questions about God and the Bible, guiding them through this pivotal life stage to grow in Christ's grace. Free weekly soup social A free weekly soup social is held every Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. at Christ United Methodist Church, 510 S. Central Ave., Laurel. For details, call 875-4233.

Thrift Shop open Saturdays St. John's Thrift Shop located at 259 N. Conwell St. in Seaford, is open every Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. A variety of infant, toddler, youth and adult clothing is available. Housewares, bedding and children's books are also available.

Community Women's Conference The Community Women's Conference extends an invitation to all women to join them for their 4th annual conference, "Extreme Transformation - Spring Cleaning for the Heart and Mind," at the Atlanta Road Alliance Church in Seaford, on Friday, March 9 and Saturday, March 10. The guest speaker will be Paula Harris, founder and director of Transformed Worldwide Ministries, a nondenominational teaching ministry and outreach to women and the ones they love. Praise and worship will be led by Kay Dukes of Milton. There will be workshops on Saturday and a bazaar. Cost is $20 and registrations are due by Feb. 18. Cost is $30 after Feb. 18. Marriage seminar Clarence Street Church of God, Seaford, will host a Marriage Seminar at 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 17 and Saturday, Feb. 18 at 8:30 a.m. Secretary General, Dr. Wallace J. Sibley (Church of God International) and Mrs. Dorothy Sibley will be the facilitators. The event is open to couples only (married, engaged, or those contemplating marriage). Old Christ Church League dinner The public is cordially invited to the annual dinner and meeting of Old Christ Church League on Saturday, Feb. 18, at St. Philip's Episcopal Church, 6th Street and S. Central Ave., Laurel. The agenda is as follows: social hour - 6 p.m.; dinner - 7 p.m.; meeting and presentation - 8 p.m.

Open mike Christian Night Open mike Christian Night will be held at The Lighthouse Church, 27225 Kaye Rd., Laurel, on the first and third Friday of every month from 7 to 9 p.m. Free admission and free snacks. Classical piano concert March 23 The Seaford ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormon) invites the public to celebrate the anniversary of the Relief Society with a piano concert at 7 p.m. on Friday, March 23. Guest recitalist is Linda Field, co-founder of the Southern Delaware Chapter of the American Guild of Organists. Field studies under Dr. Thomas Schmidt in New York City and teaches piano and organ in her studio in Rehoboth Beach. She has performed in New York City, and was music director at the Hyde Park Chapel in London, England. Light refreshments will be served after the concert. 'Discipleship' study Seaford Presbyterian Church invites you to be part of a 6 week study on "Discipleship," beginning Thursday, Feb. 16 at 6 p.m., or Sunday, Feb. 12, at 8:45 a.m. This series, which asks the very basic questions of what it means to be a follower of Christ, will be facilitated by the Rev. 'Free lunch and clothing' Seaford Wesleyan Church will sponsor a "free lunch and clothing" on Saturday, Feb. 11 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at St Lukes Episcopal Church, 202 North St., Seaford. Everyone is welcome.
