Seaford Lenten Services
The Greater Seaford Ministerium announces the schedule for the Lenten Services. These services begin at noon and are followed by a light lunch. Call the Rev. Macedonia AME Church gala
The Macedonia AME Church gala committee will present its first Jazz Evening of Elegance on Saturday, March 18 from 6 to 10 p.m. at the CHEER Community Center, 20520 Sand Hill Road, Georgetown. Proceeds will benefit the annual Women's Day. The evening will feature gospel recording artist Daryl Anderson of Bronx, N.Y., Tony Smith and Band of New Jersey and local artist Stephanie Shelton of Rehoboth. Latin Mass March 19
A Latin mass according to the Missal of 1962 is celebrated on the third Sunday of every month at 3 p.m. at Holy Cross Church in Dover. The mass will be celebrated on March 19. The mass is always a Missa Cantata using traditional Gregorian chant. Call 302-674-5781. Heaven-Bound Ministries Heaven-Bound Ministries will sponsor a street service on Friday, March 17, at 6 p.m. on Third and North streets, next to the Seaford Mission. There will be testimonials, praise, worship and free food.

Parenting information meeting
Is your empty nest filled again? There will be a parenting information meeting and luncheon on Thursday, March 23, from noon to 2 p.m. at the Wesley Community House, the corner of Wesley Church Road and Atlanta Road, Seaford. The Ninety and Nine dinner meeting
The Ninety and Nine, a Christian group for women, will have a dinner meeting on Monday, March 27, at 6:30 p.m. at the Seaford Golf & Country Club. The group was formed by a group of women who care about others in 1984. There are no membership dues to join. The speaker for the evening will be Candy Abbott of Georgetown, who is a Christian writer and directs the Delmarva Christian Writers' Fellowship. In addition to her re-release of her current nonfiction book, "Fruit Bearer: What Can I Do For You, Lord," her current work-in-progress is a spiritual warfare fantasy series. An ordained elder and deacon in her church, she also co-founded Sisters in Christ, a non-denominational women's prayer ministry that has been nurturing believers for more than 20 years. St. Luke's Episcopal Church
St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Seaford continues to observe the Lenten season. The third Sunday in Lent, March 19, will be marked by a Penitential Order together with Holy Eucharist at 9 a.m. Thursday evenings at 6 p.m.will continue with Holy Eucharist and Stations of the Cross. All are welcome at St. Luke's. The church is located on Front Street in Seaford.

'Living Proof' in concert
"Living Proof" will present a gospel concert at the Atlanta Road Alliance Church in Seaford on Sunday, March 26, at 6 p.m. Living Proof is a talented group of college-age students who present an inspirational program of fun and music for the entire family. Woodland UMC worship service
Eastern Shore Master's Commission will be appearing at Woodland United Methodist Church on Sunday, March 26, at the 9 a.m. Worship service, performing inspirational "human videos." Master's Commission is not an ordinary discipleship program. It is an intense nine-month program for young men and women with a strong desire to be raised up as powerful men and women of God. In Master's Commission the motto is "To know Him and make Him known."

John Wesley UMC concert
John Wesley United Methodist Church, Third and Chandler streets, Seaford will feature The Henry Twins and Stars of Joy from Wilmington on Sunday, March 26 at 3:30 p.m. A free-will offering will be taken.

50th birthday celebration
The Bridgeville Circuit Charge will have a 50th birthday celebration for the Rev. Terrance Briggs on Saturday, April 1, at 5 p.m. The celebration will be held at the Fellowship Hall of Union United Methodist Church, Laws and Market streets, Bridgeville. There will be an evening of song, dance, entertainment, praising God and great food. Tickets must be purchased in advance. Concert to benefit Mission
The Seaford Mission will hold a "Night of Music" on Saturday, April 1, at 7 p.m. The concert will be held at the Atlanta Road Alliance Church, 1.7 miles north of the Stein Highway light. An offering will be taken to benefit the work of the mission. Jim Baker of the Jumpin' Juke Box will be the emcee for the evening. Some of the men from the mission will share testimony and song. The stage will be shared by Pink Grass which is a female bluegrass band, The Sussex Mass Choir, soloist Rick Prouse, guitarists Kendall George and John Clifton, Craig Banks, Earl Hoopes and Greg Brittingham of the Good News Tour and recording artist Corey Franklin. Young-N-Anointed Ministries
The Young-N-Anointed Ministries is a ministry in which young Christians come together to fellowship and discuss daily issues in the young Christian community. Annual Women's Day
The annual Women's Day will take place at John Wesley United Methodist Church, Third and Chandler streets, Seaford on Sunday, April 9. The 11 a.m. Service speaker will be pastor Peggy Briggs. The 3:30 p.m. afternoon speaker will be the Rev. Alice Hutchins.

No Name Band at Grace

St. Luke's plans memorial garden
St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Seaford, has announced plans for a memorial garden which will be located on the left side of the church. It is a shady, quiet area and is a place to sit and reflect. There will be memorial stepping stones throughout the garden engraved with the names of those being memorialized. There is already a bench and a chair which were given in memory. As weather permits, planting of flowers and shrubs will begin. Those wishing to make a memorial donation may call the church office at 629-7979.

IMPACT 2006 will draw 4,000
More than 4,000 High School students and youth group leaders from Maryland and surrounding states are expected to attend IMPACT 2006: The Encounter High School Youth Conference, from Friday, March 24, through Sunday, March 26, at the Ocean City Convention Center in Maryland. The Encounter will feature a variety of national speakers and entertainers including Reggie Dabbs, who with humor and compassion drives home the fact that "you can't change your past, but you can change your future." Celebrate Recovery support group
Celebrate Recovery, a support group for those who have hurts, habits and hang-ups, meets Tuesday evenings at 8 p.m. in room 203, at St. John's United Methodist Church, Pine and Poplar streets, Seaford.
