Gospel Cafe Every Saturday from 6 to 9 p.m. there is a Gospel Cafe in the Fellowship Hall at Laurel Baptist Church. Free Christian entertainment, live bands, local talent.Everyone is welcome. The church is located at 33056 Bi-State Blvd., Laurel.

Women's Ministries, Bible Study Women's Ministries and Bible Study meets Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. at The Salvation Army in Seaford, next to Food Lion. 50th Anniversary Celebration Grace Baptist Church in Seaford will celebrate its 50th anniversary on May 1, immediately following the 10:45 a.m. worship service.A luncheon will be served, followed by a program including a video presentation of the church throughout the years and music by The Sounds of Joy.

April 22 - Liturgy for Good Friday followed by the Stations of the Cross, noon and 7 p.m. April 24 - Easter Day: The Sunday of the Resurrection, with the Lighting of the Pascal Candle and the Holy Eucharist, 10 a.m.

Living Last Supper The Living Last Supper will be presented at Laurel Wesleyan Church on Good Friday, April 22, at 7 p.m. Join us for worship, communion and a dramatic presentation of Leonardo DaVinci's painting of the Last Supper. Bake Sale Fund-Raiser Clarence Street Church of God Pastor's Council is sponsoring a bake sale on Saturday, April 23, at the Seaford Wall-Mart from 7 a.m. until sold out. Woodland UMC Easter events An Easter Egg Hunt will be held on Saturday, April 23, at 1 p.m. There will be games, food and prizes for all ages. Gospel Concert Christ's Church of New Hope will host Art Bush and the "Allegiance" quartet on Sunday, May 1, at the Bridgeville Banquet Center (next to Jimmy's Grille) at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Morning worship will feature special music and gospel preaching and evening services will have a full concert. "Allegiance" brings the best praise music of southern gospel and the latest contemporary worship with outstanding 4-part harmony. Community Day at Church of God The Seaford Clarence St. Church of God is hosting its 7th annual Community Day Event on Saturday, May 21, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Food and beverages will be provided. Admission is free. Bring your own lawn chair. There will be activities for everyone including games, contests, fingerprinting, face painting, door prizes, giveaways, cultural displays, health booths and youth group exhibits. Entertainment includes praise dancers, poetry reading, a jazz ensemble, a step team andmusical selections. Special features will "include the blessing of the bikes," a canine demo, a motorcycle show, the Belvedere Volunteer Fire Department of Wilmington, the Sussex County Sheriff Dept. and a presentation from the Star Hill AME Museum. Salisbury Prayer Breakfast Lt. Col. Kenny Cox (U.S. Army Ret.) will be the guest speaker at the National Day of Prayer Breakfast, Thursday, May 5, in the Wicomico Youth and Civic Center. Organized by a group of community leaders, this will be Salisbury's first major prayer breakfast since 2004. Civic center doors open at 7 a.m., with breakfast served at 7:30. This play reminds us of the events of Jesus and the disciples in the Upper Room. Good Friday Worship Gathering April 22 at 7 p.m. - A traditional Good Friday Service entitled "The Scripture Stations of the Cross." The sacrament of Holy Communion will be shared and everyone is welcome. Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 23, at 10 a.m. - Children of all ages are invited to join this special, fun celebration of Easter. Refreshments will be served.
