'Balling For God' The Community Outreach Team of New Zion United Methodist Church is hosting its 7th Annual "Balling for God" Basketball Tournament and Block Party. This event will take place on Saturday, May 28, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., on Webb Avenue in Laurel. Teams are now forming; age brackets are 6-8, 9-11, 12-14, 15-19 and 20 and up. Gospel Cafe Every Saturday from 6 to 9 p.m. there is a Gospel Cafe in the Fellowship Hall at Laurel Baptist Church. Free Christian entertainment, live bands, local talent. Everyone is welcome. The church is located at 33056 Bi-State Blvd., Laurel. Dinner is available.

Seaford Presbyterian Holy Week Palm Sunday, April 17 - a special worship service as we celebrate with Palms. Maundy Thursday, April 21 - 7 p.m. - Communion service, followed by Prayer Vigil. Women's Ministries, Bible Study Women's Ministries and Bible Study meets Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. at The Salvation Army in Seaford, next to Food Lion. 50th Anniversary Celebration Grace Baptist Church in Seaford will celebrate its 50th anniversary on May 1, immediately following the 10:45 a.m. worship service.A luncheon will be served, followed by a program including a video presentation of the church throughout the years and music by The Sounds of Joy.

National Day of Prayer Breakfast A prayer breakfast is scheduled in Salisbury on the National Day of Prayer (NDP), Thursday, May 5, at the Wicomico Youth and Civic Center. The event is being organized by a group of community leaders, cochaired by Bonnie Luna and Jack Savage. Civic center doors open at 7 a.m., with breakfast served at 7:30. Tickets are $20 per person, and will be available April 1, at The Gospel Shop in Salisbury, and at all branches of First Shore Federal Savings & Loan.
