Community Day Lifeway Church of God in Bridgeville is hosting a Community Day on Saturday, April 9 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be a car & motorcycle show, vendors, crafts, games, food, demonstrations, health screenings, door prizes and many other activities. Julian Drive with special guest Corey Franklin will be live in concert at 7 p.m. Concert tickets are $7 in advance or $10 at the door. Lenten Worship Series The Greater Seaford Ministerium announces the annual Lenten Worship Series. 'Balling For God' The Community Outreach Team of New Zion United Methodist Church is hosting its 7th Annual "Balling for God" Basketball Tournament and Block Party. This event will take place on Saturday, May 28, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., on Webb Avenue in Laurel. Teams are now forming; age brackets are 6-8, 9-11, 12-14, 15-19 and 20 and up. Benefit for pregnancy centers The "We Choose Life Unity Conference Benefit of 2011," sponsored by Power Production Ministries, Inc., is a non-denominational, multi-church effort to come together as one for the unborn. "Tilly," a play based upon Frank Peretti's best-selling novel, will be presented and followed by a mass choir made up of community church singers from Delmarva. Showtimes are Saturday, April 2, at 7 p.m., and Sunday, April 3, at 2 p.m., at the Wicomico Senior High School Auditorium, Salisbury. Epworth Cemetery clean up Gravesiteswill be cleared of existing old, faded and non-seasonal arrangements in late March and early April. Call Jay Stevenson, cemetery caretaker, at 227-0888 with any questions.

Women's Ministries, Bible Study Women's Ministries and Bible Study meets Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. at The Salvation Army in Seaford, next to Food Lion. 50th Anniversary Celebration Grace Baptist Church in Seaford will celebrate its 50th anniversary on May 1, immediately following the 10:45 a.m. worship service. A luncheon will be served, followed by a program including a video presentation of the church throughout the years and music by The Sounds of Joy.

National Day of Prayer Breakfast A prayer breakfast is scheduled in Salisbury on the National Day of Prayer (NDP), Thursday, May 5, at the Wicomico Youth and Civic Center. The event is being organized by a group of community leaders, cochaired by Bonnie Luna and Jack Savage. Civic center doors open at 7 a.m., with breakfast served at 7:30. Tickets are $20 per person, and will be available April 1, at The Gospel Shop in Salisbury, and at all branches of First Shore Federal Savings & Loan. Bible Study St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Seaford is conducting a Bible Study every Tuesday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the Parish House.

Lenten worship, fellowship All Saint's Episcopal Church is offering an Order of Worship, followed by a soup supper, and viewing and discussion of The Teach Company DVD, "Jesus and the Gospels," by Professor Luke Timothy Johnson, on the next 3 Wednesdays from 6:30 to 8 p.m. The topics will be: April 6 - Paul and the Oral Tradition, and April 13 - Why Compose Gospels? Annual Trustee Day at Mt. Pisgah Mt. Pisgah AME Church is hosting their Annual Trustee Day on April 10. Morning worship service is at 10:30 a.m.; the afternoon service is at 3:30 p.m. The guests are Rev. Russell Johnson, an awesome messenger of our Lord and Saviour and the Browns Memorial Baptist Church choir and members. All trustees, family and friends are invited. Palm Sunday, Holy Week schedule The worship schedule for All Saint's Episcopal Church, 10th and Grove streets, Delmar, below, is open to all. April 17 - Sunday of the Passion, with the Liturgy of the Palms and the Holy Eucharist, 10 a.m. April 22 - Liturgy for Good Friday followed by the Stations of the Cross, noon and 7 p.m. April 24 - Easter Day: The Sunday of the Resurrection, with the Lighting of the Pascal Candle and the Holy Eucharist, 10 a.m.

Men's Day at Mt. Calvary Mt. Calvary United Methodist Church, 28 Church St., Bridgeville, will observe Men's Dayon Sunday, April 10, at 4 p.m. Pastor William Butler, along with his choir and congregation of Wilson Memorial United Methodist Church, Gambrills, Md., will be the guests. The fellowship meal will be served before the service at 2:30 p.m. All men, women and children of God are invited to attend. There will be a free will offering.
