Women's Ministries, Bible Study Women's Ministries and Bible Study meets Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. at The Salvation Army in Seaford, next to Food Lion. The third Tuesday of every month the group meets in the Bethany Unit at the Methodist Manor House on Middleford Road. Trips and service activities are planned for the year. Celebrate Recovery program Celebrate Recovery, a step program which claims Jesus Christ as its Higher Power, is meeting at St. John's United Methodist Church, Pine and Poplar Streets, on Tuesdays at 7p.m. in Room 14. 'Tilly' production planned Power Productions Ministries and We Choose Life are planning a production of "Tilly," a play about love and forgiveness, on Saturday evening, April 2 and Sunday afternoon, April 3. This is a multi-church community event. There will bea mass choir, no audition required. Beef and dumpling dinner Mt. Zion Methodist Church will host a beef and dumpling dinner on Saturday, March 12 at 5 p.m.Carryouts will be available at 4:30 p.m. Cost is $10. The church is located on Route 13A between Seaford and Laurel.

Events at Mt. Pisgah AME Church The Hunt, Higgins will be hosting a pre-family and friends day gospel concert featuring Gerri Horsey and the Family Connection on March 5 at 6:30 p.m. A free will offering will be taken. March 13 will be Hunt and Higgins Family and Friends Day, starting with a 10:30 a.m. service and a 3:30 p.m. service. The guest speaker will be Rev. Recreational Night at Trinity UMC Trinity UMC near Trap Pond in Laurel will be having Recreational Night (Rec night) every Tuesday when school is in session. These events will start at 6:30 p.m. and end at 8 p.m.

The Brotherhood of St. Andrew The Brotherhood of St. Andrew of St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Seaford meets every Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the Parish House. They are also studying the booklet, The Story of Scripture. For more information, call St. Luke's church office at 629-7979.

Free weekly soup social A free weekly soup social is held every Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. at Christ United Methodist Church, 510 S. Central Ave., Laurel. For details call 875-4233. Bible Study St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Seaford is conducting a Bible Study every Tuesday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the Parish House.

Weekly Bible Study A weekly Bible study is being held every Wednesday night from 7:15-8:15 p.m. at the Days Inn, Rt. 13 South, Seaford (next to KFC). Family oriented Bible lessons for all ages. Luncheon at St. George's St. George's United Methodist Church will be hosting a luncheon on Saturday, March 12, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. They will be offering oysters, chicken salad and hot dog sandwiches, vegetable soup, peas and dumplings, as well as desserts and baked goods. Revival at Laurel Baptist Laurel Baptist Church will be having Revival services March 13-16, at 7 p.m. nightly. Rev. Charles Williams of Southwestern Theological Seminary in Dallas, Tex., will be the guest speaker. The services will feature special music nightly. Sunday, March 13 - Bruce Willey and Dan Welch; Monday, March 14 & Tuesday, March 15 - Frank Silva; Wednesday, March 16 - Light of Home. Everyone is invited. Dinner at Christ UMC Christ United Methodist Church, 510 S. Central Ave., Laurel, will be offering two dinners on Saturday, March 19 - chicken and dumplings or ham and cabbage.

Cost for each dinner is $10, children $5 and kids under 6 are free.Dinners will be served from 4 to 7 p.m. with carry-outs beginning at 2 p.m. Dinners sold separately, cannot be combined.

'Polished Pearls' conference Hickory Ridge Community Church in Greenwood in cooperation with 29 community churches will host, "Polished Pearls," a Community Ladies Conference, on Friday, March 11 at 5:30 p.m. and Saturday, March 12 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., at Atlanta Road Alliance Church in Seaford. This year's theme, "Polished Pearls," is about letting God polish us into pearls through difficult people. Guest speaker is Judy Reamer of Atlanta, Ga., who will challenge you as she joyfully shares the ways of God with simple practicality. There will be drama skits, five workshops and bazaar booths. National Christian Choir returns Tickets for the first-ever Magi Spring Concert are selling briskly. Magi Fund Chairman Bonnie Luna said the Saturday, March 19 event is another chance to see the internationally-renowned National Christian Choir, the group that performs at the always-sold-out Magi Choral Festival. "We have only one performance on March 19 at 4 p.m.," Luna said. "Each year, we have many persons who tell us they wanted tickets to see the National Christian Choir and couldn't get them. This is a sort of second chance for them to hear their amazing voices." Tickets cost $20 and are available in Salisbury at The Gospel Shop on South Salisbury Boulevard and all branches of First Shore Federal Savings and Loan in Salisbury, Fruitland, Berlin, Ocean Pines, Snow Hill, Pocomoke City and Ocean View. Community Day on April 9 Lifeway Church of God in Bridgeville is hosting a Community Day on Saturday, April 9 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be a car & motorcycle show, vendors, crafts, games, food, demonstrations, health screenings, door prizes and many other activities.Julian Drive with special guest Corey Franklin will be live in concert at 7 p.m.Concert tickets are $7 in advance or $10 at the door. Annual Men's Day Celebration Mt. Calvary A.M.E. Church in Concord will hold its Annual Men's Day Celebration, "Men Lifting Up a Standard," on Sunday, March 13. Services are at 10 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. The morning messenger will be the Rev. Ronald T. Houston of St. John 2nd Baptist Church on Mt. Joy Road, Millsboro. Jessie Watson and the Watson 4 of Salisbury will be in concert at 3:30 p.m. A free will offering will be taken.

'Balling For God' The Community Outreach Team of New Zion United Methodist Church is hosting its 7th Annual "Balling for God" Basketball Tournament and Block Party. This event will take place on Saturday, May 28, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., on Webb Avenue in Laurel. Teams are now forming; age brackets are 6-8, 9-11, 12-14, 15-19 and 20 and up. There will be entertainment for the children, food, free giveaways and games. Vendor space is also available but limited. Women's Day event Macedonia AME Church in Seaford will hold its Annual Women's Day, "Women Giving Thanks Always for All Things," on Sunday, March 20. Morning service begins at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Zakiya Griffin bringing the Word of God. The afternoon service is at 3:30 p.m. and features Apostle Diane Alexander of Emmanuel Full Gospel.

Deacon McCormick to visit Join St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Seaford in welcoming Deacon Tom McCormick on Sunday, March 13, at 9 a.m. Deacon McCormick, an ordained deacon in the Episcopal Church, will share his Deaconal Ministry. He presently serves at All Saints in Rehoboth and St. Georges in Harbeson.
