Recreational Night at Trinity UMC Trinity UMC near Trap Pond in Laurel will be having Recreational Night (Rec night) every Tuesday when school is in session. These events will start at 6:30 p.m. and end at 8.

St. Luke's Church news St. Luke's Episcopal Church offers its newsletter online and also via email. "Luke's Letter" is published quarterly and will be available online at www.stlukesseaford.org. You can also join the email list if you send a request to StLukesEpis@comcast.net. St. Luke's services are Sunday, Holy Eucharist at 9 a.m., and Thursday evenings, Holy Eucharist and Healing at 6 p.m.

Father Daughter Dance Mt. Olivet UMC Father Daughter Dance tickets are available. The dance will be held Friday, Jan. 28, from 7 to 9:30 p.m., at the Seaford Volunteer Fire Dept. For tickets, which are $7.50 each, contact David and Becky Genshaw at 629-9014.

Weekly Bible Study A weekly Bible study is being held every Wednesday night from 7:15-8:15 p.m. at the Days Inn, Rt. 13 South, Seaford (next to KFC). Family oriented Bible lessons for all ages. Bible Study St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Seaford is conducting a Bible Study every Tuesday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the Parish House.

The Brotherhood of St. Andrew The Brotherhood of St. Andrew of St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Seaford meets every Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the Parish House. They are also studying the booklet, The Story of Scripture. For more information, call St. Luke's church office at 629-7979.

Free weekly soup social A free weekly soup social is held every Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. at Christ United Methodist Church, 510 S. Central Ave., Laurel. All are welcome. For more information, call the church office daily, 9 a.m. to noon, at 875-4233.

Community Ladies Conference The Third Annual Community Ladies Conference is coming to Atlanta Road Alliance Church in Seaford, on March 11-12. This event is hosted by Hickory Ridge Community Church in cooperation with 29 community churches. This year's theme, "Polished Pearls," is about letting God polish us into pearls through difficult people. Guest speaker is Judy Reamer of Atlanta, Ga., who will challenge you as she joyfully shares the ways of God with simple practicality. Come and be empowered to face the challenges of our daily lives. There will be dramas, workshops, bazaars and refreshments. Mail in registration fee is $20. At the door the fee is $25.Registration deadline is Feb. 18. Mt. Zion holds luncheon and auction Mt. Zion United Methodist Church will be hosting a bean luncheon and auction on Saturday, Jan. 29.

The luncheon will begin at 12 noon. The auction will follow with locally acclaimed autioneer, Frank Shockley. Admission is $5. The church is located on Rt. 13A between Seaford and Laurel.

Bishop's visit The Rev. Wayne Wright, Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Delaware, will celebrate Holy Eucharist at St. Luke's Church in Seaford on Sunday, Jan. 30 at 9 a.m. A luncheon in the Parish House will follow the service. Women's Ministries, Bible Study Women's Ministries and Bible Study meets Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. at The Salvation Army in Seaford, next to Food Lion. The third Tuesday of every month the group meets in the Bethany Unit at the Methodist Manor House on Middleford Road. The group is currently finishing a Beth Moore series on the Fruit of the Spirit and will begin an 11 week series on the book of Revelation in a few weeks. OCCL annual meeting, dinner The Old Christ Church League (OCCL) will hold its annual meeting and dinner on Saturday, Feb. 26, at St. Philip's Episcopal Church. The evening will feature a video presentation of the newly created Western Sussex Byway narrated by Kendal Jones. The social hour will begin at 6 p.m. Cost is $18 per person. Soup Kitchen' celebrates anniversary The weekly "Soup Kitchen," held every Tuesday at Christ United Methodist Church on Central Avenue, Laurel, is celebrating its second anniversary on Tuesday, Feb. 1. Dave Elzey, Soup Kitchen coordinator, invites anyone interested in having a free hot meal to come out to help celebrate the anniversary. \Elzey will offer a spiritual message before the meal and music will be provided by Tony Windsor. The Soup Kitchen is held Tuesdays in the basement of the church at 5 p.m. The project was started by Elzey as a goodwill outreach to the community and an opportunity to provide a hot meal at no charge.

Reunion Quartet' to perform "Reunion Quartet" will be in concert at St. Paul's United Methodist Church on Sunday, Jan. 30, at 7 p.m. Don Murray and friends will begin at 6:15 p.m. The church is located on Old Stage Road, just east of U.S. 13, in Laurel. For more information, call 875-7900.
