Blades PTO Benefit at Friendly's
The Blades Elementary School PTO will have a benefit at Friendly's on U.S. 13, Seaford, on Tuesday, Sept. 20, from 5 to 8 p.m. During that time period, Friendly's will donate 10 percent of all profits to the PTO. No coupons can be used for dinner.

Harvesting Funds Benefit
Harvesting Funds for the Next Generation, Saturday, Sept. 24, 3 to 6 p.m., Ramsey's Farm, off Rt. 92, Wilmington. Post Office Boxes For Sale
The Laurel Community Foundation Inc. is continuing their sale of the antique post office boxes in the Landmark Professional Center, operated by Edwards, Taaffe & Co., in the old post office in Laurel on Central Avenue. The boxes are available in four sizes and a purchase is tax deductible and is used toward the funding of Hope House I and II. Quilt Chances on Sale
The Broad Street Broads, a local group of quilters is selling chances for a quilt 'The Four Seasons.' It is a 30x30 hand appliqued, hand quilted wall hanging. Proceeds from the sale go to benefit the Laurel Library. Chances are being sold by members or at the library.

Good Samaritans Need Help
The good Samaritan Aid Thrift Shop in Laurel is seeking a few good men to help on Saturdays for one hour or more. If we have enough volunteers sign up, it will be one hour every two months from 11 a.m. to noon. If interested, contact Jim Allen, 875-5351.

Defensive Driving Refresher

Delmar VFW Auxiliary Trip
Delmar VFW Ladies Auxiliary bus trip to Washington, D.C. on Saturday, Sept. 17. The trip costs $15 per person unless you are a World War II veteran, who will be our guest for the day. This trip is to visit the World War II Memorial as well as the other memorials located on The Mall, as well as Arlington National Cemetery. The First State Antique Tractor Club youth safety seminar on Saturday, Sept. 24, at their annual show. This is coordinated by the Delaware and Maryland Cooperative Extension Services.
