PTO Benefit at Friendly's
Seaford Friendly's on U.S. 13 benefit for Blades Elementary School PTO, Tuesday, Dec. 20, 5 to 8 p.m. Friendly's will donate 10 percent of all profits to the PTO during that time. No coupons can be used for dinner.


AARP Defensive Driving
AARP Defensive Driving course Jan. 23, 24 Nanticoke Senior Center and AARP Invite you to a two-day defensive driving course for seniors. Upon completion of the course, participants will receive A 10-15 percent off the liability portion of their insurance. Space is limited. Dates: Monday, Jan. 23 and Tuesday, Jan. 24, 8:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. at the Nanticoke Senior Center, 310 Virginia Ave., Seaford, call 629-4939.

Lifeguard Certification Class
Lifeguard certification course, Western Sussex Boys & Girls Club, 310 Virginia Ave., Seaford, for Dec. 27, 29 and 29. Upon completion of the course, participants will be certified in lifeguarding, CPR, first aid, oxygen administration and AED. Free Parenting Classes
Child Inc. is offering free parenting classes at Tabernacle of Praise in Seaford from Jan. 14-Feb. 18, 2006 on Saturday mornings from 10 a.m. to noon. Topics include: Parent/Child communication, problem solving, decision making, stress in the family, and building self-esteem. Bridgeville Decorating Contest
The Kiwanis Club of Bridgeville annual home decorating contest for Christmas. Homes in town limits will be judged between Christmas and New Year's Day. Winners will be notified with signs in their yards and announced in the town newsletter. Winners will receive free turkeys.

Santa Hours in Seaford
Santa Claus will be in his house at the Wal-Mart Supercenter, U.S. 13, Seaford the following dates and times (the Kiwanis Club of Seaford is the sponsor): Dec. 16,17 and 19-23 from 5 to 7 p.m. and Dec. 18 from 4 to 6 p.m.

Santa Hours in Laurel
Santa Claus will be at Market Street Park, on Friday, Dec. 16, from 6 to 8 p.m.; and Saturday, Dec. 17, from 10 a.m. to noon and 6 to 8 p.m. His visit is sponsored by Charity Lodge 27 I.O.O.F., Laurel.

The Nutcracker Ballet

Breakfast With Santa
VFW Post 4961 Ladies Auxiliary is having an all-you-can-eat breakfast with Santa, Sunday, Dec. 18, at the post on Middleford Road, Seaford. Santa will hand out gifts to all children. The breakfast is from 8 to 11 a.m. The cost is $6 for adults and children are free.

Equine Council Meeting

Seaford Chapter of the Widowed Persons Service meeting, Tuesday, Dec. 20 at 12:15 p.m., at the Golden Corral for the annual Christmas program. Those attending should bring canned goods and toys for associated charities. All widowed persons of all ages are invited to attend.
