AARP Driving Class
AARP offers driver's course Dec. 12, 13 AARP Driver Safety Course for people 50 and over, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 12 and 13, at Methodist Manor House, 1001 Middleford Road, Seaford. The two-day program, sponsored by the American Association for Retired Persons, stresses how older drivers may operate vehicles safely. Upon completion of the program, participants receive a certificate for a reduction in their auto insurance. A 15-percent reduction is given to anyone repeating the program within three years. AARP Defensive Driving
AARP Defensive Driving course Jan. 23, 24 Nanticoke Senior Center and AARP Invite you to a two-day defensive driving course for seniors. Upon completion of the course, participants will receive A 10-15 percent off the liability portion of their insurance. Space is limited. Bridgeville Decorating Contest
The Kiwanis Club of Bridgeville annual home decorating contest for Christmas. Homes in town limits will be judged between Christmas and New Year's Day. Winners will be notified with signs in their yards and announced in the town newsletter. Winners will receive free turkeys.

Local Christmas Parades

Laurel Christmas Musical

Breakfast With Santa
VFW Post 4961 Ladies Auxiliary is having an all-you-can-eat breakfast with Santa, Sunday, Dec. 18, at the post on Middleford Road, Seaford. Santa will hand out gifts to all children. The breakfast is from 8 to 11 a.m. The cost is $6 for adults and children are free.

Coast Guard Auxiliary
Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 12-04 meets the second Thursday of each month at Nanticoke Yacht Club in Blades. This month's meeting is Thursday, Dec. 8, at 7:30 p.m. Anyone interested in promoting safe boating and would like to work with men and women who do vessel inspections, safety patrols and teach public safety courses, are welcome to join the Flotilla. Auxiliary Plans Meeting
Nanticoke Health Services Auxiliary general meeting, Wednesday, Dec. 14, at RJ Riverside Restaurant, 300 Laureltowne, in Laurel (Delaware Avenue) promptly at 11:30 a.m. Topic: Future of Volunteerism. Reservations are due Dec. 9. Door prizes to include $50 gift card to Suicide Bridge Restaurant. There will be a cookie exchange at this meeting. Equine Council Meeting
