Upcoming community concert line up

Another summer has flown by and it is time to begin fall activities. The Seaford Community Concert Association (SCCA) membership brochures will be mailed out on Sept. 7.

If you are a member of the SCCA, you will automatically receive a renewal brochure. Complete the form as soon as you receive it and get it back in the mail to us as soon as possible to take advantage of the early-bird pricing.

As always, performances promise to be exciting and entertaining with something for everyone's taste. On Oct. 25, we bring a fabulous a cappella group, 4 2 Five. You will be amazed as this group of young men entertain with nothing but their brilliant voices - no accompaniment of any kind. A change of pace on Nov. 19, brings Thomas Pandolfi plays Gershwin. Prepare to be dazzled by this young pianist. Then, to get us out of the winter doldrums, the SCCA presents a zany comedian, Robert Post, on Jan. 23, 2013. The SCCA is very pleased to present the Mid-Atlantic Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of Maestro Julien Benichou, on March 22. And, last, but not least, to round out our year on May 2, the SCCA brings an exciting family ensemble, The Redhead Express. All the way from Alaska, the very talented Walker family will bring a smile to your face with their instrumental, dance and vocal performances.

Note that the board has voted to change the performance start time to 7:30 p.m. We don't want you to miss a minute of this entertainment.

Pricing for membership remains the same as last year. Early-bird Adult is $50 each, Family (family living under one roof) is $115. For early-bird pricing, you must have your membership postmarked by Sept. 19. No early-bird membership will be accepted after that time. Regular pricing is Adult $55 each and Family is $120. A Student ticket remains the same, $15.

When filling out your membership renewal, consider becoming a Patron. The SCCA Patrons' generous gifts allow us to continue to bring the finest entertainment to the Seaford area. The membership drive ends Sept. 29. Membership cards will be mailed in early October. You will have your card before the first performance on Oct. 25. Put the card somewhere safe and be sure to bring your card to each performance. If you are interested in becoming a member of the SCCA, contact Marjorie Lynch at 337-8195.
