Explosion - The Delaware State Fire Marshal's Office is investigating an explosion that occurred on Monday, April 26, at 9:38 p.m. on the 31000 block of Dogwood Lane, Laurel. The Laurel Fire Department, assisted by the Delmar Fire Department and several surrounding fire department ambulances, responded to the scene. Upon arrival they encountered a single-family dwelling leveled by an explosion. The home was occupied by two adults and three children at the time. All residents were taken to area hospitals for treatment of various injuries. Damages have been estimated at $50,000. The Delaware State Fire Marshal's Office is still investigating the cause of the explosion.
