PRESERVING HISTORY - County Councilman Dale Dukes (right) is shown Wednesday morning presenting a check for $2,000 to Bill Slatcher (center), and Seaford Mayor Ed Butler to help pay for a project at the Seaford Fire Museum on High Street. Ultraviolet light entering the windows was causing the emblems on the antique fire truck to deteriorate. To prevent further damage, the windows were covered with a protective coating. "This project will minimize future repairs to the truck and preserve a valuable piece of history in the City of Seaford," Slatcher, chairman of the Antique Fire Museum Committee, said.
