Holiday schedules
Holiday closings at the Seaford Museum and the Ross Mansion are announced by the Seaford Historical Society. The Museum, which is usually open from 2-4 p.m. on Sundays, will not be open on Dec. 23 or Dec. 30. Regular open hours will be resumed on Sunday, Jan. 6, from 2-4 p.m. The Ross Mansion, which is usually open the fourth Sunday of each month and every Saturday, will not be open on Sunday, Dec. 23, or Saturday, Dec. 30. Regular open hours will be resumed on Saturday, Jan. 5, from 1-4 p.m. For further information the museum may be reached at 628-9828 and the mansion at 628-9500.

Family nights each Friday
Family Nights each Friday at the Boys & Girls Club. Family Nights take place each Friday from 7-9 p.m. at the Western Sussex Boys & Girls Club. All are welcome (members and non-members) as long as children are accompanied by a parent or guardian. There is no admission fee and all areas of the club are open. Refreshments and prizes are also part of Family Night.

Seaford Christmas ornaments
Seaford Main Street is selling a limited edition Christmas Ornament. The three-dimension oval brass ornament features the new snowflake Christmas Street Light design and the words “Christmas in Downtown Seaford 2001.” The cost is $10 each. Proceeds will go to pay for enhancements to the downtown such as Christmas decorations for Gateway Park and other downtown locations, flagpoles and events. The ornaments are available at City Hall (629-9173) and Stewart’s Awards and Imprints on High Street.

‘Stay & Play’ program
The “Parents As Teachers” program (PAT) invites parents and their children from birth to age three to a FREE “Stay and Play Center” at Seaford Dept. of Parks & Recreation (SDPR) on Virginia Avenue. Sessions will be on Mondays from 10:30 a.m. to noon. (Closed on school holidays.) The center provides an opportunity for parents and caretakers with young children to play together and discuss any parenting questions with a parent educator. Other services include a lending library of children’s and parenting books and evening group meetings on a variety of topics.
