Woodland Ferry replica
The Woodland Ferry Association will hold a drawing for its Woodland Ferry replica at Burton Bros. Hardware, High Street, Seaford, on Friday evening, Dec. 15. State Rep. Tina Fallon will draw the winner at 7 p.m. To purchase tickets call Donna Angell, 629-8077. Tickets are $1 each or six for $5.

Rice Gallery Open House
Kevin Fleming, the photographer of the book "Beaches of Delaware," will premier photographs that will be published next year in his new book, "In America," and Ellen Rice will debut the first in her Strength of Woman series, "Standing on the Rock," on Saturday, Dec. 9, at the Ellen Rice Gallery in Ocean View. The public is invited. Fleming will show for the first time photographs of all 50 states, a three-year-long effort. Hours for the show are Saturday, Dec. 9, from 10 a.m. to noon and from 1 to 4 p.m. Call 539-3405 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. for directions.

Holiday concert tickets
Reduced-price tickets for the Mid-Atlantic Symphony's holiday concert on Saturday, Dec. 9, at Delaware Tech's Owens Campus are available for members of all Delaware Tech Alumni Associations and their families. Children attend free of charge if accompanied by a paying adult. The 8 p.m. concert in the theater of the Arts & Science Center will feature performances of Shostakovich‚s Overture Festivo, Bach's Brandenburg Concerto #1, and Stravinsky's Pulcinella Suite. Donald C. Buxton will conduct. Members of any Delaware Tech Alumni Association and associate members of the Owens Campus Alumni Association pay only $15 per ticket. Those who do not already belong to the Owens Campus Alumni Association may sign up for membership and receive the ticket discount at the same time. Democrats Christmas Dinner
The Western Sussex Democrat Club will hold a Christmas Covered-Dish Dinner on Monday, Dec. 11, at 6:30 p.m. at St. Philips Episcopal Church, South Central Avenue, Laurel. Desserts following will be at the home of Suzanne and Alfred Layton. Bring canned goods for our needy families and celebrate the Christmas spirit.

King Day chorus rehearsing
The Fourth Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration invites all interested Sussex County singers to be a part of the communitywide chorus. The chorus will practice Monday evenings in the Seaford High School chorus room (room 131) from 7-8 p.m. First practice will be Dec. 11. Everyone is welcome. AARP meets December 14
Seaford Chapter 1084 of the American Association of Retired Persons will meet at the Methodist Manor House, 1001 Middleford Road, Thursday, Dec. 14, at 1:30 p.m. The Laurel School chorus, under the direction of Penny Denny will present a Christmas program. Members are asked to bring cookies to share during a social time following the meeting.

PPP Holiday Show tickets
Possum Point Players have announced that tickets are now on sale for "Holiday Memories," its annual holiday extravaganza. Directed by H. Barlow, "Holiday Memories" is a feel good show, filled with favorite holiday music. Gail Benton Kelso directs the cast of more than 40 local artists. "Holiday Memories" is being performed Dec. 6-10 at Possum Hall in Georgetown. Tickets are $11 each, or $9 for seniors/students for the 9th and 10th matinee performances only.
