Lioness Selling Chances
The Laurel Lioness Club is selling chances for a “Weekend in May” in Ocean City and $100 in cash, $3 each or two for $5. Contact a Lioness member.

Laurel Decorating Contest
The Laurel Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring the Christmas Decorating Contest for residences and businesses. Applications— giving your name, address, phone number, and directions to your home — should be submitted to the Laurel Chamber of Commerce, P.O. Box 696, Laurel, DE 19956; or faxed to 875-4660 by noon Dec. 15. Judging date is Dec. 19, between 6-8 p.m.

Bell Ringers Needed
Volunteers are needed for the Laurel Good Samaritan bell-ringing fund raiser Dec. 1-24 at French’s Super Valu. Phone Jim Jestice at 875-7743.
Nate The Great Party
The Laurel Public Library invites children in sixth grade and younger to a Nate the Great party on Wednesday, Dec. 10 at 4:15 p.m. Refreshments will be served. For more information, 875-3184.

Laurel Toy Drive
Laurel Police Department is in the process of organizing a Toy Drive for the Christmas Holiday. Its goal is “No Kid Without A Toy For Christmas.” They will be working with school nurses to see that the toys go to families that are truly in need. LPD is asking for donations of new, unwrapped toys. Donations may be dropped off at the Laurel Police Department Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., or contact Sgt. Jamie Wilson at 875-2244. The drive will run until Dec. 23.
