Carey’s Camp to host caroling
Carey’s Church and Camp will host the second annual Caroling at Carey’s Campground Sunday, Dec. 2, at 6 p.m. Canned good for Carey’s Youth Fellowship’s “Project Manger” which sponsors several families during the holiday season, will be collected. Refreshments will be served in the church social hall after the caroling. Carey’s Church and Camp are located 5 miles west of Millsboro Delaware 24 on Sussex 421 (Carey’s Camp Road).

Spiritual workshop continues
The evangelism committee at Mount Olivet United Methodist Church, 315 High St., Seaford, is offering a Spiritual Gifts Discovery Workshop on Wednesdays, Dec. 5, 12, and 19. Helen Lucia Moore will be the teacher of the workshop. This workshop is designed to help people discover and develop their spiritual gifts. Call the church office (629-4458) to register. There is no charge for this 6-week series of workshops, which began Nov. 7.

Ninety & Nine to host dinner
The Ninety & Nine will hold its annual Christmas dinner at the Seaford Golf & Country House in Seaford Monday, Dec. 10, at 6:30 p.m. The Ninety & Nine is a ministry which was formed in 1984 by a group of women who care about the needs of others. Guest speaker will be John Hollis, Seaford, the vice president of resource development for Boys & Girls Club of Delaware. He retired as director of personnel for Delaware Technical & Community College, Owens Campus, after serving as personnel director/counselor/teacher/coach with the Seaford School District for 30 years. He was nominated for teacher of the year for the Seaford School District in 1979, 1980 and 1981. In 1986 he was also finalist for the Phoebe Hearst Outstanding Educator of the Year Award — a national PTA award. Many other notable awards have been received by him over the years. Hollis is very active in the community and is a frequent speaker at commencements, banquets, workshop and conventions. His topic for this meeting is “The Prayer of Jabez,” which is the best selling book in America. Guest singer for the evening will be Lori Jones, Laurel, a social worker at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford. She and her husband John attend Centenary Methodist Church in Laurel, where she leads praise and worship. Reservations for the dinner are necessary. Moore to speak at meeting
Helen Lucia Moore will speak at the regular meeting of Jericho Fellowship International Tuesday, Dec. 11, 7 p.m., at Mt. Olivet Church, Seaford. She will be speaking on “gifts.” For more information, call Mim Roberts 629-5654. Shop helps building fund Christ the Cornerstone Community Church has opened a Christmas shop for holiday buying. All proceeds go to the church building fund. The shop is open noon to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Church selling coupon book
The Rock Church Fellowship is selling the 2002 Entertainment Book with coupons on dining, movies, sports activities, attractions, travel and hotels. Each book costs $25. Traditional Latin mass set
A Latin mass according to the Missal of 1962 is celebrated on the third Sunday of every month at 3 p.m. at Holy Cross Church in Dover. This month’s mass will be celebrated on Dec. 16.
