Bridgeville Church of God continues Ecuador Mission
Eleven years ago a partnership was formed by the pastor of the Bridgeville Church of God and a missionary on his way to Ecuador. Over the years that partnership has been fruitful for both ministers. Lives have been changed in Bridgeville and in Quito, Ecuador as a result of this special work of God. Missionary Michael Mills and his family have worked tirelessly in Ecuador. A seminary, which has a current enrollment of 130 students, has been operating and training ministers from all over Latin America for 11 years. Five years ago a church was started by Pastor Mills in the valley below Quito and that church now has more than 300 in attendance. New churches are being planted in the Galapagos Islands and in the coastal city of Sua as a result of the mission outreach of the Quito church. In Bridgeville, children have been involved in supporting the Ecuadoran work in their Sunday School and Wednesday night classes. They have developed a greater appreciation of the world and the needs of others through these projects. The whole church has been impacted by the blessings of supporting a growing work in a third-world country.

Recently, Pastor Harold Daniels, his wife Brenda and 13 others from the Bridgeville church had the opportunity to go to Quito to see the results of their labors. Work projects accomplished by the group included painting a community bridge, painting a new cafeteria building which had been built by the Quito church at a nearby school, and feeding impoverished children at a local park. The people of the community showed their appreciation in many ways. One little girl brought sugar cane out to the workers as they painted the bridge. Her act was one of the unforgettable moments on the trip. Serving the Bridgeville and surrounding communities will be a much higher priority now for the members of the Bridgeville Church of God. They all agree that we have so much to be thankful for in the U.S.A.
