Juniors to present play
The junior class of Seaford High School will present "Stuart Little," a play based on the book by E.B. White, Friday, Dec. 10, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets for children under 12 are $2, $3 at the door. Tickets for adults are $3, $4 at the door.

Parade set for Dec. 4
Downtown Seaford will host its annual Christmas parade Saturday, Dec. 4, beginning at 7 p.m. (line-up begins at 5:30). Rain date is Sunday, Dec. 5, 2 p.m.
The parade will line up at Nylon Boulevard and march down Pennsylvania Avenue and High Street to Market Street. For details, call Toby French, 629-5331.

Church to hold fund raiser
Mt. Calvary AME Church will hold a "Night of Elegance" Saturday, Dec. 4, 5 p.m., at the Western Sussex Boys and Girls Club, Seaford. The semi-formal event is for people 16 and older and will feature entertainment, door prizes and an on-site photographer. Tickets are $25 per person. Proceeds will benefit the church's building fund. Class to reunite this weekend
The Class of 1974 from Seaford High School will hold its 25-year reunion this weekend. A casual get-together will be Friday, Nov. 26, at RJ Riverside restaurant in Laurel.

AARP offers driving program
A 55 Alive/Mature Driving Program for people 50 and over will be given from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Dec. 6 and 7 at the Methodist Manor House, 1001 Middleford Road, Seaford.
The two-day program, sponsored by the American Association for Retired Persons, stresses how older drivers may operate vehicles safely.
Upon completion of the program, participants receive a certificate entitling them to a reduction in their auto insurance. A 15 percent reduction is given to anyone repeating the program within three years. For information and registration, call 628-4879. The cost is $8 per person.
Mansion to host celebration
A Victorian Christmas will be held at the Ross Mansion on Saturdays and Sundays, Dec. 11,12, 18 and 19. The Civil War era, 11-room Italianate mansion will be decorated for the Christmas holidays by local professional florists with emphasis on Victorian decorating styles.
Hours are 1 to 4 p.m. each day. Admission is $2 per person.
The mansion is located on North Pine Street in Seaford. The event is sponsored by Seaford Historical Society. For more information call 628-7788 or 628-9500.

Chapter plans basket raffle
The Seaford chapter of Beta Sigma Phi sorority, Laureate Epsilon, has planned a Longaberger basket raffle for its major fall fund raiser. The drawing for the tall hamper basket with lid, valued at approximately. $250, will be held on Dec. 17. The basket is on display at Delmarva Antiques, US 13, Laurel. Tickets, which are $1 each or 6 for $5, may be purchased there or by calling 875-2200.
A portion of the proceeds will help to fund one of the chapter's major service projects, which takes place at Christmas. Traditionally, the chapter provides a Christmas complete with wrapped gifts and dinner to a needy family in the area.

Seaford planning 2000 party
The city of Seaford is planning a celebration to welcome in the new millennium on Friday, Dec. 31, beginning at 7 p.m. and ending with fireworks at 11:30 p.m. The party will include family events. A committee, headed by Cathy VanSciver, has been meeting since the summer to plan the party. So far events include a clown performance, entertainment and music, children's games and contests.
The cost of admission is $5 for adults; children 12 and under are admitted free. Admission will not exceed $20 per family. Games will cost from 50 cents to $1.
The event is scheduled to take place at the Seaford City Hall. Call VanSciver at 629-8740 for more information.

SDPR to go to New York
Seaford Department of Parks and Recreation is sponsoring a trip to Radio City Music Hall, New York City, Sunday, Dec. 5. Tickets, which include transportation, are $74. For details, call 629-6809.
