Laurel Christmas Parade
Laurel Christmas parade, Friday, Dec. 10. Stepping off at 7 p.m., the parade will march through Laurel’s downtown area, ending near Five Points. Raindate is Saturday, Dec. 11, at 7 p.m. Sponsor is the Laurel Chamber of Commerce. For details call 875-9319.

St. Paul’s Yard Sale
St. Paul’s U.M.C. Youth Group Yard Sale on Nov.13, 7 a.m., 32827 Old Stage Road, Laurel. There will be a little bit of everything. Aids their going to the youth rally in Ocean City, Md., in January 2005.

Laurel Children’s Book Week
The Laurel Public Library will celebrate Children’s Book Week from Nov. 15-20. On Tuesday, Nov. 16, at 4 p.m., Winterthur will present “Once Upon a Playtime” and school-aged children are invited to come and play the games children did back in the olden days. On Thursday, Nov. 18, there will be a special Polar Express evening story time at 6:30 p.m. Call the library at 875-3184.
