Commitment Sunday at St. Luke’s Church
Sunday, Nov. 14, is Commitment Sunday at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Seaford. Church families come together and offer their pledges of time, talent and financial resources. Members have been prayerfully considering their tithing after a stewardship presentation and celebration on All Hallows Eve. Also a mandatory meeting for all Lay Readers, Chalicists and Lay Eucharistic Ministers will be held after the 10:15 a.m. mass. This is also a celebration of Commitment Sunday in the church.Approximately 20 “Operation Christmas Shoe-box” boxes were dedicated on Nov. 7.

Gospel tribute to veterans
An evening in the gospel tradition to give tribute to veterans and all military personnel will be held Saturday, Nov. 13, at Washington High School auditorium in Princess Anne at 6 p.m. Featured will be Jay Caldwell and the Gospel Ambassadors, The Zionettes and the Judah Praise Team, the Ricky McKinny Singers of Atlanta. Donation $8 in advance; $10 at the door.

No Name Band at Grace UMC

Trinity hosts Gospel Gents
Trinity, Dublin Hill United Methodist Church of Bridgeville, will host Everett Warrington and the Gospel Gents, Dan Walker and Bob Littleton on Sunday, Nov. 21, at 2:30 p.m. with a program of Gospel Music. Fellowship and refreshments will follow the music program.

Latin Mass November 21
A Latin mass according to the Missal of 1962 is celebrated on the third Sunday of every month at 3 p.m. at Holy Cross Church in Dover. The mass will be celebrated on Nov. 21. Foggie AME Church prayer

Nazarene Church guests
On Saturday, Nov. 13, at 7 p.m., Pastor Beverly Scott and congregation from Rock Center of Deliverance, Chestertown, Md., will be at the United Church of the Nazarene, 4718 Jackson St., Hurlock, Md. On Sunday, Nov. 28, at 4 p.m., Bishop Kim Wells and congregation from the Church of God of Prophecy, Federalsburg, Md. will be at the United Church of the Nazarene.

100 hats and ties
There will be a fellowship tea, 100 Women in Hats and 100 Men In Ties, on Saturday, Nov. 13, at 3 p.m., at Mt. Calvary United Methodist Church, 28 Church St., Bridgeville. Trinity-Dublin Hill UMC
Trinity-Dublin Hill United Methodist Church of Bridgeville will hold its homecoming on Sunday, Nov. 14, at 2:30 p.m. Early services will be at 9:30 a.m. with lunch and special music at 11 a.m. Barry Steven Ball, chaplin at Dover Air Force base, will deliver the homecoming message. Fellowship and refreshments will follow the service.

Centenary Church auction
The Friendship Class of Centenary Church, corner of Poplar and Market streets, Laurel, will host an auction at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 20, to benefit the Good Samaritan Christmas Basket Program. Bring a new, wrapped gift to contribute to the auction, held in the basement dining room.

Woodland homecoming
The Woodland United Methodist Church will have its homecoming service on Sunday, Nov. 14, at 2 p.m. Guest speaker will be the Rev. Boyd Etter and the Wilson Family singers will provide special music. A covered dish dinner will follow in the fellowship hall.

Mary and Martha Tea Room
Take My Hand Ministry, Inc. will sponsor the Mary and Martha Tea Room on Nov. 17 from 2 to 4 p.m., 102 Maryland Ave., Greenwood. Guest speaker will be the Rev. Sarah Stephens of Felton. Men’s Prayer Breakfast
The men of C.H. Foggie AME Zion Church are starting this year with a prayer breakfast on Saturday, Nov. 13, at 8 a.m. The Rev. Roscoe West will preach. Tickets are $7 per person. For more information contact Eddie Snead at 875-7438. The breakfast will lead up to the Men’s Day service on Sunday, Nov. 28.

Zion Church anniversary
St. John AME Zion Church, Ross Point, Laurel, will celebrate its 120th year church anniversary on Sunday, Nov. 21, at 4 p.m. The speaker will be Bishop Marvin Morris, pastor of Booker Street Church in Georgetown. Bishop Morris will be accompanied by his congregation and the Booker Street Ensemble. The church membership is sponsoring this service. The Rev. Oris Percy Fields, Sr. is pastor. Dinner will be served prior to the service.
