NMH Auxiliary to meet Nov. 8
Members of Nanticoke Memorial Hospital Auxiliary will gather on Wednesday, Nov. 8, at RJ Riverside Restaurant, Delaware Avenue, Laurel. The business meeting will convene at 11 a.m. followed by a luncheon. Ken Bryan, vice-president of Nanticoke Health Services, will address the volunteer group on "New Projects." Reservations for the chicken a la king luncheon at $7.50 are required. Callers will contact members. Community residents are invited to attend to learn more about Auxiliary activities. Lunch reservations may be made by calling the volunteer office at Nanticoke Hospital no later than Nov. 10

Fruit Sale now through Nov. 13
Epworth Christian School in Laurel is sponsoring their Annual Fruit Sale now through Monday, Nov. 13. Orders are being taken for naval oranges at $14 per 20-pound case, red ruby grapefruit at $13 per case, or a combination of the two at $14 per case. Also available is a combination of 12 each, oranges, grapefruit, and apples at $20 per case. Fruit can be ordered through students, staff members, or by calling the school office at 875-4488. Delivery will be the second week of December, in plenty of time for Christmas gift giving. Enjoy fresh Florida citrus and support Epworth Christian School.

AARP meets November 9
Seaford Chapter #1084 of the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) will meet at the Methodist Manor House, 1001 Middleford Road, Thursday, Nov. 9, at 1:30 p.m. Speaker at this meeting will be a representative from Hospice.

Craft Show November 11
Seaford Volunteer Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary is sponsoring their 15th annual Craft Show Saturday, Nov. 11, from 9 to 4 p.m. Crafters throughout Delmarva will offer their unique works for sale to the public. Admission is $1. A 2000 Longaberger Christmas Basket raffle, and 50/50 ticket at the door. All proceeds to benefit the Seaford Fire Dept. and Ladies Auxiliary. Call (302) 629-3599.

Children's Theater at Del Tech
Theater IV, a nationally known touring ensemble from Richmond, Va., will once again be delighting area school children with musical adaptations of entertaining and educational stories. This year's season consists of three shows. "The Sword And The Stone," which will be performed Nov. 20 and 21; "A Woman Called Truth," will be performed Jan. 26, 26 and 29; and "The Velveteen Rabbit" which will be performed on April 3-5.
