NMH to screen for cancer
Nanticoke Memorial Hospital will provide prostate cancer screenings Thursday, Oct. 31. The blood tests will be offered in the Community Room, adjacent to the main lobby of Nanticoke Memorial Hospital from 9 a.m. till 5 p.m. The fee will be $5. Results will be mailed approximately two weeks after the event.
The hospital encourages men over 50 to take advantage of this service, as well as those who are 40 years old and at high risk of developing this cancer. African-American men are at high risk for prostate cancer, as are men who have a family history of the disease. For details, call 629-6611, extension 2560.
