Harley Raffle to benefit NMH emergency room
Tickets for the Harley - Ford Raffle, to benefit the expansion and renovation of Nanticoke Memorial Hospital's Emergency Room, are on sale in a variety of locations, including online. The grand prize is a 2003 Ford F-150 Harley-Davidson Limited Edition Supercrew Pickup, a 2003 Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail, an enclosed East Tennessee Titan Trailer, and a helmet. The prize items were donated by David G. Horsey & Sons Inc. All proceeds will be used for the renovation and expansion of the Emergency Room at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital. Tickets are $20 each and are available at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital Gift Shop, Frederick Ford, and online at www.harleyraffle.org. Order forms are also available at businesses throughout the area. Volunteers are also looking for businesses and events to display the grand prize and sell tickets. Teams Basket Bingo
A Longaberger Basket Bingo will be held Oct. 23, at 7 p.m. (doors open at 5:30) at the Moose Lodge, Snow Hill Road, Salisbury. Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door. The grand prize is the Joyful Chorus Basket Set. There will also be a 50/50 and a raffle for a Corner Hamper. Other prizes will be drawn as well. The Knights of Columbus will hold an Octoberfest on Saturday, Oct. 25, at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Hall. A catered dinner, cocktail hour, at 6 p.m. Adults $15, Children under 12, $7. Call for information, 629-7999 or 629-0644.
Fall Harvest Festival
The Methodist Manor House will celebrate the grand opening of the new Towne Center with a Harvest Festival on Tuesday, Oct. 28, from noon to 3 p.m. Lunch and refreshments will be served and tours will be given. Phone 628-5622.

2003 NMH Basket Sale
The Nanticoke Memorial Hospital 2003 American Traditions handwoven baskets have been put on sale. Dot Dixon, co-chair of the kiosk at the hospital, in answer to many requests for a candy basket ordered one especially to fit your needs, be it in your home or on your desk at work. It has a lovely engraved brass plate with the hospital’s name and logo as well as the year 2003. As an added bonus, this green and natural wood basket with leather handles includes a protector for the special price of only $25. Just in time for your holiday decorating and that special someone on your Christmas list. Haunted Stadium
Nightmare on Hobbs Road 2003 — Haunted Stadium is open Oct. 23, 24, 29, 30, 31 and Nov. 1. Tickets are sold from 7-11 p.m. at $10 each. Children under 6 are free. Open rain or shine.
