KINfolk is a non-profit corporation that was established in Delaware in 1999 by Brady. The organization donates laptop computers and provides free internet access to hospitals in order to keep children suffering from chronic illnesses in close contact with friends and family during their hospital stays.

Teacher of the Year candidates - Candidates for state "Teacher of the Year" from western Sussex County are: Delmar - Julie N. Harper; Laurel - Jason Rogers; Seaford - Joan B. Harper; Sussex Tech - Dennis Redington; Woodbridge - Sherry Holmes. The winner will be announced Tuesday, Oct. 24, by Gov. Tom Carper.
